I've done a lot of writing this weekend; no poetry, which is surprising to me. I've started three new projects, two of which are pretty much close to being done. 15 more to go by the end of the semester. Yay

Area of Concern: "Guardian of Liberty." Seeks to protect and defend individual rights
Branch of Gov't Focused: Legislative
Success Story: A man applying for the coaching position on a woman's softball team was denied because of his gender. ACLU settled on behalf of the man, eventually winning him the position "for which he was equally qualified."

Lobby: National Rifle Association (NRA)
Area of Concern: Focused on issues concerning firearms, the right to bears them, etc.
Branch of Gov't Focused: Legislative
Success Story: "Class Action Fairness Act"

Lobby: American Conservation Union (ACU)
Area of Concern: Advancing and communicating the concerns of conservatives.
Branch of Gov't Focused: Legislative
Success Story: Introduction of the Kennedy-McCain bill.

Lobby: "The Dark Side of Dole"
Area of Concern: Lobby group against Bob and Elizabeth "Liddy" Dole at the time of Dole's candidacy.
Branch of Gov't Focused: Executive
