interesting fortune cookie
So today I went to eat at this cheap-ass chinese place for lunch with one of the other guys at work and after we were done the waitress gave us fortune cookies. I broke it apart and out popped this fortune
"Times long ago will present a special treasure to you."
I don't know exactly how to take this. Fortune cookies have been really shitty to me in the last 2 or so years now. For instance, when I lived in Corpus same thing happened. I went to eat chinese food, got the cookie, read the fortune and thought nothing of it. The very next week I got laid off from the job I had and my immediate reaction was looking at that fortune. It read
"Something unusual will happen at work next week."
So you can imagine how weird I felt after rereading that fortune after i had just been laid off. So then I had the gigantic task of finding another job. In the job-hunting process, once again got chinese food and in opening the fortune cookie it said
"Soon you will be sitting on top of the world"
I thought nothing of this once again and moved on. About a week later i got hired at this place that had awesome work hours and decent pay and everything felt good again. My immediate reaction again was to reread the fortune. It's just so bizarre to me how all these appropriate fortunes come my way when feeling questionable about things or in a predicament or anything else.
