It was late in the morning when Jack woke. It was never unusual for him to wake and find the bus empty so he paid no mind to the still silence. He did mind the cold however. He found a pair if jeans on the floor outside his bunk and gave them a good sniff before putting them on. He would need to do laundry soon since he was running out of decent smelling clothing. He might need to get that done today and take advantage of the first off day in almost a week.
Jack grabbed a sweater off the sofa and pulled it on, zipping it over his bare chest. The short sleeves that exposed his wrists and the smell coming off of it told him that the garment belonged to Alex. He shrugged softly, Alex wouldn't miss it, and went on with his agenda which included nursing his throbbing hangover.
It didn't take long for him to locate a bottle of Advil and a cup of cold coffee. After though, as he was stuffing his laundry bag full of his rancid clothes he started to think. Why was he used to waking up at noon alone? Why was it that his free days on tour were usually dedicated to laundry and finding a good bar. He didn't know where any of his bandmates were but he could make an educated guess. When he was out and about where would people guess he was? Jack needed a hobby. Or a girlfriend at the very least.
He had to admit though as he sat on one of the washers he was utilizing in the empty laundromat, he could sure do laundry. It wasn't until much later as he passes Zack on his way out of the bus with his camera that Jack remembered his need for a hobby. He might just have to borrow Zack's for an afternoon. Being a photographer had to be easy right? All you had to do was point and shoot. He stopped in the bus and put a shirt on under the sweater before leaving the bus with his skateboard and his phone which was camera enough.
Jack ended up in a park just a couple blocks from where the bus was parked taking pictures at skittish kittens that seemed to like the smell of his shoes more than they were afraid of a stranger pushing a phone into their fluffy faces.
