A day in the life of a single mom.
So I'm in the process of applying for a job in Chicago. It's actually a volunteer position through Americorps, but I'd be getting a stipend and all sorts of benefits. I'm REALLY hopeful about this job. It would be working with kids, and they'd give me an education award at the end of my year there so I can go back to school. If I don't get this job, I gotta figure out how to make it in Chicago on a lot of wishful thinking. And figure out how to go back to school and contemplate taking out mucho loans just when I've finally paid off one of them. So, life right now is very confusing, but that's nothing new.
Kiah is the coolest thing to happen to the world. She's adorable, funny, and smart. (Obviously, she takes after her mom.) She does have a rather deadbeat dad. Buh. I'm not surprised, though. Down with him, anyhoo. He can suck my chocolate salty balls. SHE makes me uber-happy. She's learning all kinds of interesting things, like how many fingers she can fit into her mouth at once and how to puke INSIDE my shirt.
