Writer's Block: Occupied

No, I haven't. I have observed about 14 protesters in Dover, DE and some in Philly, but I didn't take any part in it.

I'd never join their movement, though. Their cause is noble, and I completely agree with why they're upset and angry at big banks and corporations being involved in our government. I'm pissed about it too. It's very unfair and needs to be addressed. But the fact of the matter is that the general population of the OWS protesters have no idea what the fuck they're doing.

Taking up space in public areas is no way to get anything done. It's just a nuisance. I'm sure people have learned to ignore them already. If they want to make progress they need to start actively planning protests, form some kind of secret committee so their leader doesn't get shot, and be a bit more strategic about what they're doing. Take a look at the Civil Rights Movement: I'm pretty sure the African Americans didn't get their rights by setting up a shitload of tents, taking up space, and not really doing much of anything to get shit done.

I mean, shit, the SOPA protesters got more done in three weeks than they OWS protesters have done in four months.
