Been spending the last couple of days expanding the workshop in the basement. Sam's helped a lot, too. I like the way it's looking so far! Rearranging things down there is always refreshing to me.
In all the cleaning I've learned we have an awful lot of cobwebs and dog hair and dead bugs and such down there. Ick. I should spray some Raid down there before all the winter crickets start getting all up in my business (literally). The new expansion is meant to add a crafty area to the workshop for my whole family to use, my mom especially. I learned a lot of my craftiness from her, and it'd help if she had a proper place to do things.
I'd like the shop to look all charming and exciting like the ones
here, but it's still a concrete basement right now. I calculated it'd be some $1000 to install a floor (DIY, of course) on that side of the basement. We kind of don't have that right now, but I hope we can get it finished before winter creeps up. It gets cold down there! Maybe staining the walls and hanging some posters will make it look less sad.
Anyway, it's late at I should probably go to sleep. Much to do tomorrow!
