I am not in a good mood to say the least. Firstly, I still have a cold that seems to be getting worse everyday. My eyes are itchy and sore, my nose won’t stop running even though it’s blocked. My throat is sore, the inside of my head feels itchy, and obviously, I can’t scratch it. I can’t remember the last time I got a cold this bad

Boil anis seeds to make tea (tastes a lot like licorice), while it's boiling breathe in steam. This really helped me when I felt like poo. Hope it will help you out as well. And you are right, there is only so much negativity that a single person can take... before she puts on steel-toed boots and is no longer a nice kitty ;p
unfortunately, other than to say "ignore them, fuck 'em, kill 'em and I'm sure we can hide the bodies" I don't have much advice. However, I do know that if you surround yourself with negative people it will bring you down... a side effect of which is a lowered immune system if you let them get to you too badly.
