It's been way too long!
Finally there's some time for an update--many things have been going on lately, so LJ had to be put on hold for a bit . . . Anyways, life is good but very busy! Due Wednesday (last day of class as an undergrad!) is my final essay & oral presentation for my Chinese Literature class; it's supposed to be about a 3-page/10 minuted project; I've never written a Chinese paper that long or spoken Chinese for 10 minutes straight! We'll see how it goes :)
Also due Wednesday is my Business Chinese PowerPoint presentation, which I will probably do on the environment/pollution in China and how that's affecting economic development there. Hopefully it will be fun and interesting! For Thursday, I am doing a group project for my finance class on optimal portfolios: basically, given a portfolio of stocks (Ben & Jerry's, Whole Foods, Kraft, etc.) we research each one's history, riskiness, future prospects, etc. and try to put together a balanced portfolio to maximize profits and minimize risk (optimal risky portfolio).
So yeah, there isn't much room for non-academic things right now. I also can't believe that my first final exam, nihongo (Japanese) is next Friday!! Speaking of nihongo, my teacher Sekino sensei had to return to Japan last week when her mother passed away, and she won't be able to return this semester :( She is an awesome teacher, even if she is super demanding :) At least Nakano sensei and Koizumi sensei have done a great job filling in for the rest of the semester.
Also, a shout out to Virginia Tech! Hope everyone there is recovering well and starting to get back to their daily routine again.
