working hard this morning at the coffeehouse. sitting here typing and listening to msuic at an excruciatingly high volume.
so my schooling has come to an end, basically. this semester i started off with two classes and have since stopped going to one of them. i'm left with a 200 level writing class, and after this semester i will not return to school. i haven't broken the news to my parents as of yet, and now i need to tell my landlady that april will be my last month in the apartment. not that i've really been there much anyways, i haven't slept there since mid-december. so speaking of that, i've been living with kelly for about 3 months. it's been great, despite the fact that we are almost complete opposities we get along really well.
my new band, well new to me, the band has been around for some time now, is doing excellent. we are all ready to play the show here in next month on the 14th, and after that hopefully we'll be playing lots more shows. i'm dilligently trying to get some stuff written for this band, it's kinda hard because i am not used to toning down my lyrics for a band. but not all the kids in the band are as politically motivated as i am so i'm trying to start off slow and build my way up. it may be wimpy, but if i alienate them off the bat then i won't get my chance later on. and i think this band could be a great vehicle for my politics, because they are really motivated to play and to practice. they've already put out a demo, gotten t-shirts pins and stickers made up and played a good about of shows.
