You've landed in a world called Johto, and it's unlikely that you will find your way back soon.

So I've been hearing. I don't suppose you'd have any clue how I came to be here, would you?

Unfortunately, when it comes to the 'how,' I can't answer your questions.

Ah well... if I'm missing long enough, Glen would probably look for me... [it seems like a perfectly reasonable idea!] Are you from here, miss, or were you brought here too?

That might not become an issue, either, depending on how time will pass at home compared to here.

I'm originally from Iwatodai; I was brought to Johto a year ago today.

[Well, crap, that is a point - but then...] ahaha...Well, if I'm not gone long enough for them to notice, then it'd be solved either way.

A year... [Now that would be a long time to be away from everyone...] Have you heard of anyone else here from Sablier, or Lebleaux?

An entire year here may only be five minutes at home. Remember that.

[... shaking her head] My apologies, I haven't.

Are you sure this isn't somewhere in the Abyss? [That small aside was a sideways stage-whisper to the pokémon in his lap; the Ralts sighs and slumps, thumping her head against the bottom of the gear.]

Ah, well... I suppose that just means there's more for me to learn here, then, if everyone's from places I haven't heard of. [And as nice as it would be to have a familiar face, curiosity about ALL OF THE THINGS is dangling~]

[she doesn't hear that first part]

That's correct. There's much to learn in Johto; I've enjoyed the lessons this world has taught me.

Then being here isn't so bad, I'd think.

Say - what's your home like? I've never heard of it before.

You're right, it isn't.

Iwatodai is found in Japan. It's a larger city, and therefore is surrounded by skyscrapers and other vehicles.

Skyscrapers? [Oh hey unfamiliar word...] Ah, sorry, I don't think I've heard of those before.

Tall buildings that extend several stories high.

That sounds amazing - the tallest we have is some clock towers, maybe a few watchtowers; buttresses only support so much stone. [At least his clothes probably date him a little enough to help make sense of this one...] Is it a very old city?

It's been in existence for quite some time, but it certainly has a modern feel to it.

Is it a big change, from Johto to there? [There's some things about the architecture that are already striking him as a little odd in New Bark Town, although the small town doesn't have anything that unusual...]
