Tragedy struck at the High School again last weekend. Some of my men who patrol the area around the school were nearby when there was report of on of the students spontaneously combusting. My men quickly assisted getting the rest of the students out and putting out the subsequent fires. But there was no saving the girl. I dunno Maddy still seems a little shaken up by it. I reckon I wish there was something I could do. I have no earthly idea whats causing this to happen in the first place.
You know its been a bad week when you're nostalgic for the days you were trapped in some South American jungle surrounded by a whole nest of lkuerwaq demons not sure how it was all gonna end. Good days compared to this week. I reckon its not all bad. There are worse things than doing a routine outta some Rogers and Hammerstien bit with your men in full view and providing back up. Or some girl coming on base, singing to the guys getting them all hot and bothers talking about making love, not war. I had to remind a few of 'em that they were soldiers, they were in the business of war. Not that it ain't a good sentiment, it'd make the world a better place and all, but not a philosophy one should adopt just cause a pretty girl comes and sing to 'em.
Kim, my lovely beautiful bride, got overcome with the need to sing to me. Of course she couldn't have done this in the privacy of our home. No, she had to sing that she felt like makin love over the walkie talkies. Not taking into consideration that Colonel Ramsey was sitting in my office at the time. Fortunately the Colonel has a sense of humor. Then my darlin' wife gets a police call on none other than Trick, who while out on his date with one of Izzy Hicks's sisters got called on a lewd conduct. Apparently, the girl had the odd notion she rather molest poor Trick than sing, but she still ended up soing an interesting rendition of 'Fever'. Course Sean was the officer on the scene and I reckon I didn't help matters out. But neither did the other Hicks sister India and Yuffie. It was all rather amusing. Trick was not happy. Kim nearly broke something laughing when I told her all about it later.
We still haven't a clue whats causing all the singing and dancing. I reckon I'm just glad it hasn't happened any more to me this week. Would've served me right had i started sign a duet with Sean for giving Trick such a rough time.
