Jack watches her come down the stairs, talking with Ianto about some new something-something. She is laughing, using her hands to punctuate the words.
But soon she is slowing down, saying goodbye and standing by him, smiling that same sparkly smile.
Jack gives a small laugh and hangs his head, stuffs his hands in his pockets and gives her a small smile. He turns, slipping a hand onto her shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze, expecting her to leave and go on with her night.
But she follows, because since Jack, nothing else matters to Gwen.
And she wonders why.
