Road Race by the Sea
I ran in the Cohasset Road Race by the Sea 10K last Sunday. It was beautiful weather: bright, sunny, mid-high 50's with a slight breeze. The weather was so clear that during the part of the course that ran along the ocean, you had a clear view of the Boston city skyline. They've posted the official race results and woohoo! I ran sub 9minute miles! Which was what I was aiming for. Net time: 54:03 Pace: 8:42 Gun time: 54:51
I'll do a few more road races over the summer and see if I can crack the 8:30mile mark. If I can do that this summer, it'll be awesome. My long term goal is to qualify to run the Boston Marathon some day (way, waaayy in the future). Qualifying time for females under 39yrs is a 3 hr. 40 min marathon = 8:23mile pace.
That is hella fast for a long ass distance.
