Sunday morning. I've been so busy with studies that I haven't written in weeks. But, I don't think I have been busy, just forgot, I think. I'll try to see if I can remember stuff that happened without my writing it. Hmm.
Prof. Faust gave us a quiz a couple weeks ago. I'd studied, I always do, but I only got an A. I feel awful about it, like he's going to think I'm not a good student anymore. I do work hard, s'just that sometimes the dark creatures take a bit longer for me to remember. It's not like I'd ever heard of these things growing up. Unicorns and stuff, yeah, but hinkypunks? It's the names, I guess, they're just so hard to learn. I'll work harder and do better next time.
Astronomy is so boring. If I didn't have class with Bea, I'd hate it, but she makes it not so bad. Friday, we passed notes for the whole class. We'd said we'd talk to Juhi on Saturday, but didn't get to, so maybe later today or something. It's important to Bea that we do, so we have to. Maybe she won't be busy before lunch, I'll ask. Or we could do a picnic! Ooh!
Haven't seen Soren in so long... I wonder what he's doing. He's a sixth, so I'm sure he's very busy, but I miss having him to talk to. It's easier to talk to Juhi when I want, because she's in my house and all. She's almost always around when I need her or just want to talk. Soren isn't, he's....very busy. Maybe he'll come to study hall on Monday, and won't mind if I sit with him, except that he doesn't usually come to study hall, and I don't want Prof. Faust upset with me for talking, anyway. If I don't see him tomorrow, I'll owl him.
I should owl Cyrus, too, see if he has the pictures he let me take with his camera so I can send them home to Mum and Dad. I told them I'd send some soon, and they said they are excited. Hope I did alright, it was the first time I
used one like that. He'd have said, if I did it wrong, right?
Oh! Soren said he'd get frogs for John, too. I almost forgot about that. Hope he didn't forget, since I promised to send more. John likes the cards the most, I think. He even has more than I do! I doubt Soren forgot, he keeps his word...
I had pudding with Will last week, and, well, I think he's kinda odd. Seems nice, but... don't think he'd help his friends if they needed help, that's sad, I think. I'd help mine, and I'm only twelve. He should've learned better than that. He's still nice, kinda funny, maybe we'll have ice cream another time.
Tired of writing, need to study anyway. Going outside to sit by the lake. Taking Defence with me. ~jm
