2022 NCIS Dear Santa Letter
It's beginning to look a lot like SeSa... If anyone is interested in signing up, please check out the community at NCIS_Sesa. The minimum is 2000 words and sign-ups end 10/31/2022.
Since SeSa is about giving, please don't stress out about it. I will enjoy anything you're willing to write for me, really. I promise I'm not nearly as picky as I sound. I appreciate anyone who writes something for me, because giving a story is a really cool thing to do. :)
If this looks familiar, yep, I pretty much copy from the year before and add a little something now and then...
Dislikes:
I'm not into stories with MPREG, genderswap, or vampires/zombies/werewolves/shape-shifters/witches, etc. I prefer no heavy drug use unless it's related to kidnapping (given forcibly) or severe injuries (given by medical staff). I absolutely hated the Tony exit story, so please, no mention of Tiva or Tali. I don't really care for kid!fics. I'm not a fan of character bashing, so I don't really enjoy any of the characters written as OOC, evil, or incompetent (although I can bear Ziva and/or Jenny being the 'bad guy' now and then). I prefer Senior being a conman as he was portrayed in his earlier appearances, rather than the super-nice guy they've made him out to be more recently. Since NCIS often deals with murders, I would be fine with such an investigation, but no non-canon major character death, please.
Likes:
I'm pretty flexible. I like happy stuff, romantic stuff, humorous stuff, miscommunications that are worked through in the end, H/C, and angst with happy endings. I enjoy natural settings like mountains, beaches, Gibbs' cabin, etc. I enjoy case fics as well as AR stories where they have everyday-type jobs. I enjoy a good adventure wherever that may take them. I love cats and horses, so it's a plus if they're included. I enjoy stories that deal with a well-established relationship, as well as those where the relationship is new, or even the first meeting or first date. Any season is good. I'm fine with AUs and ARs so if you want to mess with the timeline, that's okay with me, too.
Character likes/dislikes:
I'm really happy to see any of the regular characters (as long as there is no hint of Tiva). I adore Dorney, Mike Franks, and feisty interactions between Fornell and Gibbs. If Sr or Jackson stops by for the holidays, that's perfectly fine, too. Tony and Gibbs are my favorite characters, along with Nick Torres. It's great if you want to include both Tony and Torres even though they didn't overlap in the series. They can run into Nick earlier, or I prefer to think Tony is off running his own team now anyway. I don't mind AUs at all so I'm fine if you put characters together that never met, or if Dorney didn't die. I prefer Kate or Ellie to Ziva (although, I do prefer the boys, so if the ladies aren't around/included that's perfectly fine). Ziva is okay as long as there is no hint of the dreaded Tiva (Tony/Ziva). Newer members like Kasie, Jess and Parker are fine, too. Also, I don't like most non-canon nicknames. For instance "Jet", "Jeth", "Tone", etc. will have me rolling my eyes and possibly groaning in agony. I do enjoy canon nicknames, so "Ziver", "Skippy" (love Skippy!), "Silver Fox", "Abs", "Dorney", or any of the multitudes of Mcwhatever nicknames Tony comes up with are fine and sometimes even awesome. In fact, the McGee nicknames are the exception. I delight in new and wonderful McNicknames, whether they're canon or not. *G*
Permitted crossovers:
I'm perfectly happy without a crossover, but if you're game, I do like NCIS New Orleans so if Pride and LaSalle drop by (as a couple or not), that's not a bad thing. I am more familiar with earlier seasons than later ones. I also like Criminal Minds, especially Morgan and Hotch, so the CM characters are fine, too. The only CM character I didn't really care for was Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt), so prefer she not appear, but the others, I really love them all and am okay with slashy pairings, but there's certainly no need to make them part of a pairing at all. I will say that I haven't seen many of the episodes after Morgan left. I really like Tara, but am not familiar with the male characters that came on board after that.

I still watch NCIS and like the idea of Nick/Ellie and I'm warming to Tony/Nick, so if you are so inclined to write something based on later seasons, want to bring in Nick early, or keep Tony late (I really like the idea of Tony just becoming a team leader or going to the FBI instead of the whole Tali mess.) that is fine with me.
Wherever the story may take them, I would like a happy ending, please. *G*
