Thank you Peachy. It's been an interesting day. Although I had taken the day off work my plans for the day changed when my father was transferred from low care to high care at the nursing home this morning. I ended up spending a lot of the day clearing out his room, defrosting his fridge and packing up the things that he couldn't take with him. My sisters and brothers-in-law will move the furniture out tomorrow.
But I had birthday lunches and dinners all through the weekend.
Frodo would look an absolute treat playing the cello by lanternlight with those long lashes sweeping down as he invoked the music from this beautiful instrument....mmmmmm....but it's Stephen Maturin, as interpreted by Paul Bettany, playing the cello from Master and Commander, Far Side of the World from the books by Patrick O'Brian.
The books are fabulous reads for characterisation and the relationship between Maturin and Royal Navy Captain Jack Aubrey and the breadth and depth of O'Brian's knowledge in creating the world that they inhabit. Meryl is a fan.
Jacaranda, dear, a glass of wine with you. :smooch:
Thank you for the good wishes and for that beautiful image of the Doctor bent over his melody (Frodo, too!). Hugs to you and your family, hoping your father is doing well.
