Gollum stars as Caliban
Still not certain what I'm going to do with this LJ but perhaps I should make an entry from time to time.:)
I recently attended a local theatre group's production of 'The Tempest'. The actor portraying Caliban played him exactly like Gollum. It was most distracting. When Caliban is pledging loyalty to new masters I was half expecting, "We swears to serve the Master of the Precious."
At one stage my friend whispered to me "What's the name of the creature in Lord of the Rings?" I also heard the G word muttered in the row in front.
Otherwise not a bad production and I even won the raffle!
