So, I'm officially moved into the University Village complex and CSUSB, but not without a few problems.
This morning I was assigned to a room with 3 other girls. While normally this would seem weird, no one on staff seemed like anything was wrong or different. My name was even written on a sign in front of the door. Assuming they were just taking coed to the next level, everyone has separate rooms after all, only the suite is shared, I unpacked and setup EVERYTHING.
Shortly after I step outside to go get food with my family, I get a call saying there's been a horrible mix up. They screwed up placing me, obviously, and pulled me from the room weeks ago, but never assigned me a new room, or updated that I didn't have a room, and therefore my status never changed in the system. So, another girl, who arrived later than me, was assigned my former spot, and I was left with nothing, and no one cared to do anything, let alone warn me not to move in.
Long confusing fuster-cluck of a story later, I'm in a temporary suite with one other person, and I can either:
1) Stay here and pay an extra $250 a quarter for a bit more privacy
or
2) Move into yet another room on Friday.
To be honest, I kinda like this room. My suite-mate doesn't do drugs or alcohol and seems to be fairly easy going, something that can't be promised of any group I move in with, should I decide to. We'll see how it goes. There are pros and cons outside of money and the chance of crappy room mates. Luckily I have a week to decide.
Anywho, give me a call, on my cellphone, if you want to come by.
