Jive Records To Release *NSYNC’s Greatest Hits
11 Tracks from the Multi-Platinum Group
In Stores October 25
Los Angeles, CA - Between 1998 and 2003, *NSYNC ruled the pop music world with a string of chart topping singles and multi-platinum albums. On October 25, Jive Records brings those tracks together with the release of *NSYNC’s Greatest Hits.
*NSYNC introduced itself to the U.S. with the high-energy single “I Want You Back” in March of 1998. At the time, no one knew that these 5 guys from Orlando, FL were destined to break records left and right. Over the course of the next 5 years, *NSYNC -comprised of Justin Randall Timberlake (Justin), Joseph Anthony Fatone Jr. (Joey), Joshua Scott Chasez (JC), James Lance Bass (Lance) and Christopher Alan Kirkpatrick (Chris)-would sell nearly 30 million records in the U.S. and 42 million worldwide. The group charted with a dozen singles, conquering top 40, AC, dance, Latin, country and R&B.
In the U.S. alone, they received 2 RIAA Diamond Awards (sales over 10 million albums) for their debut album *NSYNC, and their 2000 release of No Strings Attached; multi Platinum awards for the albums Home For Christmas (2x), Celebrity (5x) and the VHS/DVD releases ‘N The Mix With *NSYNC (6x), Live From Madison Square Garden (4x), Making The Tour (1x) and PopOdyssey Live (1x).
Their worldwide “No Strings Attached” and “PopOdyssey” stadium tours rewrote sales, artistic and technical standards for road shows (when tickets for the first 52 “Strings” dates went on sale, one million sold on day one… a record!).
The track listing for *NSYNC’s Greatest Hits is:
1. Bye Bye Bye
2. Girlfriend (featuring Nelly)
3. This I Promise You
4. It’s Gonna Be Me
5. God Must Have Spent A Little More Time on You
6. I Want You Back
7. Pop
8. Gone
9. Tearin’ Up My Heart
10. Thinking of You (I Drive Myself Crazy)
11. I’ll Never Stop
12. Music Of My Heart (featuring Gloria Estefan)
This makes me crazy. I thought it was retarted when the Backstreet Boys did it. When Britney did it. And don't even get me started on Hilary Duff. And now they've gone and done the same thing. I mean, what's the problem, you're running out of money so you figure, "Hey, time to put out our greatest hits album!"?! Give me a break. Get off your asses, get into the fucking studio, and put some new crap together. But ya know what reeeeeally pisses me off. I'll probably be at Best Buy on October 25th looking for the damn thing. :op
