my review of matrix 3 NO SPOILERS!!!
so yeah zion is saved at the expense of the lives of neo and trinity and a bunch of other people that no one cares about. neo is plugged into the matrix via the architect. agent smith turns neo into another smith and the architect then destroys neo/the smith that's plugged in, thereby destroying all agent smiths, yet killing neo. trinity gets impaled when their ship crashes and dies and we have to listen to a ten-minute goodbye speech. it was like:
Trinity about to die:
'I wish I hadn't have said "i'm sorry" before I died before blah blah blah blah.Blah blah blah blah. Blah. Blah blah, blahblah blaaaaaah.'
Neo watching Trinity die:
'NO TRINITY THIS ISN'T HAPPENING!'
that's the same defense mechanism i was using while watching the entire movie.
the rest of the movie was filled with exaggerated fight scenes and trite philosophy about fate and choices. the weekend they spent writing this movie could have been used in a much more constructive way, like telling their fans they were idiots for attempting to watch the third installment when they knew the second movie was horrible.
one thing i did like about the movie though was how it ended. not particularly the content of the ending itself, but that it was finally over. <3 fuckers.
