Go with the flow.

After the comments from q_skud_ I think I am going to have to modify the way that I am teaching Pallas Armata. Going through the book chapter by chapter is not working because although it is pretty well set up, the author does not always do the simplest things first.

To that end, I am making up a flowchart (or more accurately a series of flowcharts) talking about actions and responses. So that we can first look at simple sentences and phrases then build them into complex sentences and conversations.

Anyway, as cortejo mentioned, the gym was freezing yesterday and I was the only person with all my gear there anyway so I didn't get to fence. Just do some drill work.

At the Academy practice, we did footwork drills and parry drills (YAY!). This was fun. And I was able to practice some of my PA stuff within the drills without it being out of place.

After that we did some free play which lead to some elation because I was remembering most of the moves I had practiced and some disappointment because I wasn't remembering some of the moves untill after the opportunity had passed.

I'm really going to have to work at making my attacks good and solid and learning to do the Passere properly. I think it is a foundation of the style.

More on the flowcharts as it happens.
