A day of injury and awesome hardcoreness
today started out normal.
began like any other day. woke up nice and late. its the end of winter break. i go back to school on tuesday.
got up. played poker online for a few hours. went to the mall. bought a norma jean shirt and a "here come the falling" cd. theyre mad good.
went to my moms.
went to alans to load up for the show. got everything ready. we got to galaxy cafe by like 630. registered.
got chinese food. that was fun.
went to CVS across the street. all the other bands we were playing with were horrible.
i started talking to this guy from one of the other bands. he seemed pretty cool. at the time.
THIS is where it starts to get interesting.
during the band before us, one of the moshers started acting stupid and swinging into the crowd and stuff. he hit liz and patty by accident. jason got PISSED, and went after the kid. then. during the last song of their set. the lead singer jumped off stage and started moshing. we were standing in the back of the room. EVERYONE rushed at us and started flailing their arms and legs. mike got punched in the face. alan got punched in the chest. jason got into a fight with them. I GOT KICKED IN THE FACE. REALLY HARD. BY THE LEAD SINGER!!!
My nose is broken in two places. hahaha.
this happened RIGHT BEFORE we were supposed to play. alan and mike and everyone were just like...no. we can't play. i was like We're playing! thats it!
there was a black dude there that was starting trouble, and afterward we were threatening to press charges, and the guy that kicked me was like, DUDE! WE COULD SAY IT WAS A HATE CRIME! HE'S BLACK! hahaahahaha. meanwhile HE was the one that attacked US, not the other way around. the worst part was that the venue was taking their side because they know them and they are regulars. it was such crap.
so we played haha. my nose kept bleeding. theres blood all over my equipment. i feel bad i got blood on dans bass. but it was the most awesome show we ever played. i had so much fun, even though i was injured. haha.
after the show we boogied outta there. dropped the stuff off at alans. then mike took me to the hospital.
bill showed up too. haha. it was fun. they waited with me in the emergency room. it took like 2 hours. i got xray'd and they said its fractured in two places and i need to see an ear nose and throat specialist. i also have off from work for the whole weekend!! YESSSSS!!!!!!!
after that we left the hospital. then me mike and bill went to denny's at 3 AM haha.
i had this french toast thing. it was great.
i didnt get home till 4 AM. im so tired. and yet im still typing. night.
