(no subject)
Hate job hunting. Hate, hate, hate it!
So, a lot has happened since I last posted.
Got back to Portland on Christmas day. The very next day we started looking for places to live and three days later, signed a lease for our own place. We found a very apartmenty-apartment in the Mountain Park area of Lake Oswego. It's a nice two bedroom with a huge living room. Good heat, nice closets. It does the trick. It doesn't have a whole lot of character but we won't be here forever.
So we were working on getting settled, unpacking, etc.
My grandmother passed away about 2 weeks ago. She slipped into a coma and died with my mom and my aunt next to her. So last week, I flew out to Rhode Island for three days for her funeral. I'm glad I went. It was a nice trip and it was good to see my mom. I was able to make it back on standby flights about 5 hours earlier than I thought I was going to which was especially nice because it was Jeramie's birthday.
Jeramie started his new job last monday. He had quite the week being a single parent and starting a new job. Luckily, we got Katie started at the Kindercare across the street from our place which is really convenient. She's been doing well and she seems to really like it. She's doing really well at eating more foods and mastering finger foods. She's also a really good stander!
And since last Thursday, I've been looking for a job. I have applied for about 5 jobs and 2 temp agencies. I'm hoping to hear back on something this week. the money would be good and getting out of the house would be really nice. But the job search is going a little bit more slowly than I would have liked. Blarg.
Well, I guess I should get back to it.
