Death Sentance... Hilarious!

A lady got on the train and as she came down the stairs she tripped and as she landed her heel went through this woman,s skirt, tearing it and leaving a bit of a gash in her leg.
The lady stood there so embarrassed and was apologizing going, "Oh I'm so sorry, i'm sorry, does it hurt?"
"yes" the woman replied...
By now everyone had sat down and there were no more seats so the lady just had to stand there looking all embarrassed and guilty.
Jane who was sitting next to me at the time whispered, "I'm so glad that's not me right now."
"What happened?" I asked, she told me.
"Don't laugh..." but i couldn't help smiling, so in an effort to mask my chuckles i pretended to read the paper.
"No...It's this article" i pointed randomly to the front page. "It's HILARIOUS!"
Jane laughed. "Do you know what word you pointed to?" I looked "DEATH, DEATH Sentence...!" from the article on the Bali Nine being Sentence to death.
Now where both laughing.
Jane starts laughing at me singing "Smooth Operator, such a smooooth operator"
We laugh again.
And the whole time the Lady is just standing there looking Embarrassed.
