I feel ... young. And happy. And excited.
I feel like a little kid with his first loose tooth. I'm going around showing everyone the tooth, shouting "Look how it wiggles!! Isn't it cool!!!", all proud of how grownup I'm getting, even though the tooth hasn't fallen out yet.
And everyone is smiling at me and my tooth like indulgent uncles and aunts and saying, "Yes, John, that's very nice" while making eye contact with each other above my head with looks that say, "The little darling!" and almost but not quite rolling their eyes at each other.
