From bad to awesome

So turns out I'm putting off homework again. Ah well...It happens. So this weekend was pretty darn cool for the most part, which is saying a lot because my day at school friday wasn't the best. Started out with morning practice, during which I almost died of an asthma attack (nothing new there, really, but it's never pleasant.) So then, after practice, I ran to get something for my secret santa in biology. Turns out they didn't have the candy I wanted, because I needed make a molecule, because it's biology and we do dorky things like that. So I came back with the available candy and constructed what Greg informed me was C3H8 (you'd think I'd be able to figure that one out, but my brain doesn't work that early in the morning. I figure I'd have gotten there eventually, and to my credit not all carbons were visible, but thanks Greg :) Slightly before construction began on my carbon chain, I realized that I'd left my backpack at home. You'd think of all things to forget, it wouldn't be that. Turns out I brought everything but. Including a biology book....??? I will never understand myself. So I went and took the bio test. Which just sucked. It was hard, mostly becuase I omitted this entire section of reading/review that happened to comprise about, oh, 100% of the test. Then I wrote essays (really really long essays as usual) after which I realized i'd read a major part of one question wrong. This caused me to write essays through "A" session of seminar. Mind you, I was supposed to be at quartet practice at this time. Yeah, turns out I was in no mood to play christmas music with a cheerful ensemble, so I just didn't go "B" session either. Plus I had to do all my math homework again because it was in my backpack. So I went to get the worksheets from Mrs. Howey (who wasn't there- the one thing that went well) but found out from the sub that we had a quiz. That was just awesome, mostly because i'd been absent from class most of the past week due to illness and dr.'s appointments. But then Meg gave me a hug in the hallway, and said everything would be okay, and it was. At least until about 5 people told me I looked like death. (which doesn't normally bother me, especially during swim season. In fact, I tell myself that I look like death. But that day was just not a good day, and it rubbed me the wrong way.) But I remembered what Megan said, and I was happy again. Which means that I was then an oxymoron, because I became a walking, talking, happy sort of death. And after typing that, I really hope "happy death" isn't an oxymoron, because someday I hope to experience it. Oh well...
Friday night I went to the dance. It was actually really fun for the most part. More people came than expected, and it has great potential for the future. Definitely a little heavy in the way of rap, but fun nonetheless. Afterwards I went to Julie's house. I had a lot of fun with everyone there (which was like 11 people), and even got to meet someone new. And that always makes me happy. His name was Chris "Mouse" and he was really cool. I finally fell asleep at around 4 (which is hours after I initially felt tired. I was a slight party pooper due to the fact that I got tired so early. Oh well.)
I skipped the optional practice Saturday morning because no one should subject themselves to swim practice on 4 hours of sleep. So I got home with the intention of going to bed. Turns out we were going to get our Christmas tree. (We're extremely late this year. Supposed to have gotten it last week, but that didn't happen.) Eventually I slipped into that "so sedated you're high and no longer tired" mood, so it was all good. Plus, we get our tree from my grandpa's Christmas tree farm, and that's always fun. Then my mom and I went shopping for my sister's birthday (which is tomorrow, but which we celebrated today.) Yeah for me being so on top of the gift thing. It worked out, though, and I got to eat at Paneras, which is awesome.
Last night was my extended extended family Christmas party. As in the one where you don't know half the people. Which brings me to state that I've figured out that my least favorite question to be asked is "You know who this is, right?" Because nine times out of ten, no grandma, I don't know who the hell that is, and I love you dearly, but don't ask me that ever again. Oh well, now I know who great uncle frank is... I had fun though, playing cards with some people I did know, even if they did get a little tipsy...:) That always makes it that much more fun. They laugh at EVERYTHING.
Today, as mentioned earlier, we celebrated my sister's birthday. We also decorated the tree, which looks really pretty. And because we were celebrating, we had my sister's choice unhealthy (and scrumptiously delicious) meal: pigs in a blanket and french fries. (the non-breakfast pigs in a blanket). She liked all her presents too, so that's always a plus. Oh, and ice cream cake's another plus :) Can't believe she's already 15 though.

And here I am now, putting off homework and thinking instead. I'm slightly confused about something, and maybe I'll write about it later, but until then, I'm not sure what to think. So here's to a good weekend, and what will hopefully be an awesome last week before break. Until next time...think snow...

P.S. started rereading this entry, and it's confusing and poorly written. Sorry, I'd edit, but I have to get to bed.
