Jared Padalecki's New Film

Mar 30, 2008 14:00

OK, I for one am so excited for Jared to be in Friday the 13th. I know some people are moaning and groaning the fact that he is doing "another" horror film. However, I don’t think that is a problem. Lets start by going into the past shall we?

Jared has only been in one horror film, "House of Wax". People tend to think "Cry Wolf" Is a horror, but it is really just a mystery. Every other film he has been in are so far away from being horror. "Flight of the Phoenix", "New York Minute" and even though his Baseball film "A Little Inside" is terrifying, it still isn’t a horror film.

Jared has been in many movies, however his film career wont officially start until this winter. When he has two starring roles making it to the big screen. Jared will be starring in an artistic drama before Friday even comes out, which critics have already applauded his performance in. If anything Jared is showing a good range for his first two starring roles. I mean think about it.... He is starring in a dramatic film that is already getting some buzz, and then two months later Friday the 13th will be released. Both of his films will probably be in the theaters at the same time for a couple of weeks. A big chunk of movie fans love horror, and Friday is one of the most popular horror franchises in the world. That chunk of people will see Jared star in a film. Another big chunk of audience members will be ones who want to see a biography drama, those people will see him star in a film as artist Thomas Kinkade. After this his name will be so much more known then it is now. Friday will most likely be way hyped, and heavily advertised. He is a leading man now; all of his other film appearances are pretty much wiped off the slate, except for his fans that love everything he is in. So I don’t see him taking Friday the 13th as a bad thing at all. I think these two movies will send his star even higher faster. I am so excited for him, and I can’t wait to see him on the big screen again. Only this time, running it.
