das_mervin recently posted about Gloria Tesch, who self-published her book at 14 and thinks that makes her the most awesome thing since sliced bread.
I decided to do a bit of internet digging on the "master storyteller" and found that, amusingly, there appear to be lots of people popping up out of nowhere to defend her book and/or tell people how awesome it is. I think there is a definite whiff of sockpuppetry here...particularly since these people seem to share Gloria's stilted writing style.
