ITEM!
I'm gonna get this out of the way at the beginning and say that y'all should expect some photo posts in the near future. I've already got some from the "Ballard Norwegian Independence Day Parade" up and waiting in Photobucket, so it's only a matter of time... Lefse.
But I thought I'd take this moment to convey a few things that have happened since the last time I wrote in this thing, which was a damned long time ago.
1. Graduated. My mom pointed out that with my new degree title, my initials are now JAMBA. And all the intelligence that I've gained from this education that I will henceforth spew upon the masses will from here on be referred to as my "Jamba Juice."
2. Dad had surgery, so I'm kicking it in D-town for awhile until he's back on his feet and running. Or at least walking without a limp. Should be back in Washington on the 5th of June.
3. Upon my return to the Evergreen State, I'll squat at the Sass for about a week, and then move into my new summer residence up on Capital Hill in Seattle. I don't have a job yet, but that will come. I just had a fierce desire to get out and live somewhere new, and when the option of living in on Capital Hill in a furnished room for $310 came up, I couldn't turn it down. The plan is to meet some cool new kids and live it up.
4. I got a job in Philadelphia! Come August, I'm moving out to Philly to work for the Red Cross doing disaster outreach. I'm pretty pumped about moving to a new part of the country and meeting a whole new flock of crazies, and am really thankful that I got this job. It's also great because Kristen will also be in Philadelphia, Jared Julie and Jeff will all be in New York, and Em will be in Boston. The job lasts for 10 months, and I have no idea what I'll do at that point but I'm pretty fucking stoked for what the coming year holds.
