Kidnap My Heart Chapter 29: Turn Back Time

Jul 24, 2010 14:08

“Are you kidnapping me?”

The array of tangled fates began once this sentence had escaped from Jaejoong’s mouth.

“I kidnapped him for you.”

It was this mistaken confession that had pushed them along the ride.

'I Do's'

It was also the simple two words that had ignited the massacre.

But to end the façade, all that was needed was just one simple thing; Yunho’s betrayal.

Now,

He wanted to run...

He wanted to escape...

He wanted to die...

The golden letters sewed onto the Tuscan blue blanket protecting an innocent child against chilly wind was ripping him apart.

Held securely in his arms was a baby boy. A Tuscan blue blanket protected this innocent child against the world. Despite his own shivering frame, his focus was solely on the golden letters sewed on the blanket: Jung Inwhan. This name was taunting and ripping him apart to the point where he wanted to throw this innocent child on the floor, for he was the cause of a new ripened feeling in his heart that he hadn’t felt for ages.

"My baby..." a dried voice called out, her hands reaching towards the child in his arms...

"Inwhan..." she called, looking pleadingly at Jaejoong and silently begging for him to hand her child over.

Jaejoong locked eyes with Guen Young, and he could see the fear in her eyes.

The child in his arms started to cry, seemingly able to sense his mother's distress.

Is this what my Inwhan would have looked like...? He took a simple galnce at the child once more in his arms.

"Congratulations," Jaejoong smiled and slowly slipped the child into his mother's warm embrace.

Immediately  a wave of relief washed over Guen Young  as she hugged her baby tightly before smothering him with gentle kisses and whispering loving messages like any mothers would do when they catch a glimpse of their own flesh.

The door clicked, softly and slowly, the door opening in the mist of the chaos of running nurses and he emerged from behind the door. His gaze locking swiftly with the bundle of blue in his wife's arms, completely ignoring him. Just two simple steps and they past each other, without a word or a glance, why? Cause he finally had everything he had wanted to complete his 'perfect' family.

Jaejoong began to feel that his presence was a nuisance...a complete nuisance just like it was five years ago... when he saw Yunho held a tender gaze at Guen Young’s newborn before taking the small child out of her hands to place a gently kiss on the forehead stirring it awake.

And Jaejoong swore he could never forget the small twinkle of happiness in those eyes.

"Inwhan,” Yunho cooed, “Say Umma..."

His voice set Jaejoong’s slim frame into a trembling mess. Jaejoong felt breathless like someone knocked the air out of him. His blood ran cold. His body was numb and frozen. Yet his eyes were very much aware of the strains in Yunho’s muscles as Yunho reached out to touch the baby’s light brown hair.

"Congratulations..." Jaejoong forced himself to speak once more, unable to look either of them in the eyes before leaving the room.

His bloodies hands left a thick red imprint on the door handle. He heard nurses calling his name to finish the diagnostics of the child but he simply brushed it off.

Inwhan....

Inwhan....

That's my child's name...

That's my baby...

He stopped in the middle of the corridor; his figure bent low and fragile. Slowing raising his hands tainted in blood, his breathing began to pick up its pace, and a wave of emotions flooded his insides with appalling memories

"Leetuek...no...dont do this..." Jaejoong squirmed into the hold of the nurse, dodging the gas mask.

"Not my...child..."

"Yunho...save Our child..."

"I don't want to...I Don't want to..."

His vision blurred when the pain lurked upon his body after being taken out the cold rainy atmosphere.

The blood was rushing back to his veins, letting him feel each and every single prick inflicted on body that had recovered from the painkiller.

His bottom felt like it was burning with an immense pressure...

He could feel the largest twinge of pain in his abdomen...

He could see the six bright circle lights of the operation room...

He could see the large cotton swabs of blood that were continually coming out of him...

Jaejoong’s hand desperately clutched onto the closet nurse...

"My child..." he whimpered helplessly, but his cry was cut short when he felt the most agonizing cramp strangling his arched body.

His breath quickened, his body grew tired and weary, his tears soaked up the small pillow underneath his head, his vision blurred quickly and the last thing he heard was...

The sound of an unborn’s wilting heartbeat on the monitor.

Nightmare after nightmare, the grief was swallowing him. He could almost feel the pain once more in his abdomen, those foreign hands on his body, the heart that threatened to shatter once more, and the feeling of betrayal. Hateful thoughts began to fill his mind like water engulfing a sunken ship. He very much wanted to stab a sharp knife into that tiny body, that newborn Jung. He wanted them to feel what he had went through, what he had lost.

"Jaejoong! Are you alright?"

Jaejoong snapped out of his own delirious word when he felt securely grasping his upper arms, rescuing him out of the darkness. The first thing he saw was Leetueks' alarmed expression.

"Don't touch me!" Jaejoong almost screamed, pushing Leetuek away from him. But at the same time, he fell on the floor from the reaction force.

"Jaejoong! Snap out of it!" Leetuek, who was getting worried, tried to advance towards his friend until the younger doctor backed up against the wall.

Unmistakeably, small droplets of tears adjourned his friend’s face in seconds. And Jaejoong desperately tried to conceal the crystals by hiding his face in the wall. His sobs and overwhelming feelings didn’t continue on for too long because he had passed out on the hospital floor.

When Leeteuk was scheduled to check out the Jung's new baby, Jung Inwhan, everything became clear to him.

"They are both healthy, and both of you are ready to go in two days." Leeteuk informed the family, checking one last time the baby’s weight. Indeed he was a perfectly healthy child. The mother gave a smile of gratitude to Leeteuk as he returned the little baby back into her arms, but the father looked stressed.

"I’ll be back to check on them tomorrow then," Leetuek secured the little metal clipboard to the end of Guen Young’s bed before heading for the door.

As Leeteuk walked out of the room, Yunho followed close behind and closed the door, almost afraid that the occupant of the room would overhear him.

“"Doctor Park," Yunho whispered, stopping Leeteuk in his tracks. “Where was the other doctor that my wife was assigned to?"

"I'm sorry, Doctor Youngwoong isn't feeling well. He probably caught the flu from a patient."

"No…I mean Doctor Kim." Yunho mumbled, his form shaking at the thought of seeing him here of all places, after five years.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Jung. But there is no Doctor Kim working at this hospital."

"No, there is. I saw him. Short, black hair-"

“Oh, Yes, that's Doctor Youngwoong. Now if you'll excuse me I have other patients to look after." And Leetuek excused himself only stopping at the glass window containing the view to nursery. Right in front of him, in the first row the simple engraving on the tag, Jung Inwhan. He sighed, closing his eyes as he leaned against the window, the harsh cried of his best friend as he was rushed into ER. The cries of a mother who had lost his still born in the total chaos of the night. If only, Inwhan was saved, would things be different?

'We are on our way, Leetuek.” The person instructed over the phone. “Just keep Jjaejoong calm.'

When they had arrived, they were both still in shock from what they had heard. Had they heard right? Jung Guen Young was admitted into the hospital and Jaejoong had taken over the case. Was that fate playing an ugly joke?

"Leeteuck, where is he?" Junsu asked right off the bat as they ran towards the spotted figure in the main hallway.

"I told some of the nurses to take him upstairs into his room." Leetuek muttered weakly and Junsu and Kimbum took off as soon as they heard where their brother was.

They were both greeted by the darkness of Jaejoongs' office; the only sheer light came from the large panel windows. And there in the corner right under the window was Jaejoong. His black hair glistened from the moon light.

"Jaejoong..." Junsu eased softly, taking small steps towards his brother. When they were both close enough, they could hear soft intakes of breathe. In Jaejoong's hands was a small picture frame. He was caressing it absentmindedly.

It was the only picture they ever had of their beautiful nephew, which happened to only be a sonogram, a rather unclear picture of the baby that grew inside of Jaejoong for a time period.

"I held him in my arms, Junsu..." Jaejoong sniffled looking at his child in awe. He slowly wiped off the tears that had landed on the frame. He traced the little figure and couldn’t help to smile with remorse because all he could see was a shadowy shape-the figure of his unborn son.

"Even after five years,” Jaejoong wailed, “they are still taking pieces of me away. And now even my baby’s name” Tears rolled down his eyes, staining the angel’s features. He looked so lost and confused. He was a broken angel with a broken wing, holding the frame into his chest for his dear life.

“Jaejoong ah. Its all over no. -Inwhans in a better place.." Kibum said as he wrapped his arms around his brother’s shoulders, hugging him close, letting him know that he was there for him.

"All I wanted was for Inwhan to hold a little piece of Yunho in him. But that never happened. He's nameless, fatherless, and lifeless" Jaejoong reached out to grab his brothers who was crying along with him. “I don’t even know if he ever existed”

"No, Jaejoong, no! Inhwan is still here in our hearts,” Junsu cried, holding Jaejoong’s cold hands into his own. “Inwhan's not nameless, he's not fatherless. He has you and us to give him all of the love he would ever need." He wanted to shield Jaejoong away from the world’s cruelty as he felt  the tears on Jaejoong's face creeping to the nape of his neck.

"Seeing the baby held in his arms, I-” Jaejoong choked, “wondered all the possibilities my child could have had......"He continued, burying his head into Junsu's shoulder.

"Would he have complained about my cooking..."

"What his first steps would be like, would he fall after a couple steps and laugh..."

"Would he have liked school?"

"What would have been his favourite color?"

"Would I have been enough for hi-"

"Shhh, Jae.” Junsu said, stoking Jaejoong’s back gently. “Inwhan would have loved you." Junsu bit back a chocked sob as he raised his hand to the back of Jaejoong's head.

Junsu carefully broke away from the hug, holding Jaejoong's shaking head in his palms. "Don't ever doubt yourself. Don't you ever dare think for a second you are the cause of Inwhan's death”

"Don't you ever ever think about that night..."

"Yunho, I want you to tell me the truth..." Jaejoong said...

Yunho's hand came on top of his, loosening Jaejoong's hands before he turned around to look at the young heir in the eyes.

"Do you want to marry me?"

A question of truth...

"Since the announcement has been made, you never seem to smile..."

"Every single time I hold your hand, it always seem so cold..."

"No matter how close you are...it seems as if I can never ever get close to you..."

"Tell me honestly Yunho, have you ever loved me?" Jaejoong asked, his pleading eyes locking with Yunho’s.

Complete utter hatred was what he saw in those beautiful caramel brown orbs. Complete utter hatred for him...

He had lied...

He had pretended...

He had done the worst of any man--any human beings--could do...

Yet, he wanted the chance to apologize; he wanted Jaejoong to listen for just one second. He wanted to hold Jaejoong in his arms and take away all the tears he had caused, all the sadness and hatred he had filled the once blossoming young heir with.

He had married Guen Young, not him. He had forced his father out of Seoul, sold his mother off to somewhere. And the worst of all, he had purposely played with his heart to reach his own selfish goal.

He used his love to gain everything he ever wanted: power, money, and revenge.

This child, he held in his hands was the ultimate reminder of what he had done to Jaejoong. He couldn't find himself to look at the baby in his hands. He couldn’t do it. Everytime he did, he would see Jaejoongs' tearful eyes-those eyes that were asking him “Why? Why are you doing this to me? -- as he forcefully shoved the pills down his throat.

"Hey, let me see my cute little nephew." Yoochun said greasily, inching his face closer to the little baby.

"Eww! He doesn’t want to see your ugly face!" Chnagmin commented as he pushed his brother away and starred at the little baby in awe.

"Yeah, like he wants to see your--" Yoochun was about to retorted when a loud scream with heavy running footsteps echoed down the hallway.

"Stop that man!!! He broke into the Doctor Younwoong’s office!"

"What is going on out there?" Yoochun asked, his face filled with questions. A hospital should quiet. Why in the world are people screaming all over the place?

When the three brothers emerged from the room, a rather suspicious-looking male ran past them with pieces of paper flying from his hands.

Yunho acted fast. His hand reached out and grabbed the male by the collar, yanking him back until he fell in the midst of his flee. The nurse caught up to the male on the floor and immediately gathered up the scattered pieces of paper, checking what he had stolen.

The nurses hollar had caught the attention of by standers who immedialty crowded the scene when the papers started to flutter into air.

"What's going on here?" a soft petal like voice broke through the crowd of people who had circled around the caught male.

"Doctor Yougnwoong!"  the nurse screcched in relief.

Yunho's eyes darted towards the nurse and right next to her stood Jaejoong.

"This man was caught stealing something in your office,” she informed him before passing some of the papers that she had picked up off the floor.

Yunho watched as Jaejoong listened intently to the nurse before darting his eyes to the male on the floor. Scanning the person up and down with raggedly cloths, mud or soot smeared across the face, dirty fingers, he quickly concluded that he was probably from the streets.

"There's nothing valuable in my office," Jaejoong lifted the corners of his lips into a small smile hopeing to make everything seem like a simple small matter. He tried to approached the male until a hand reached out from the crowd to pull him back.

"Don't go hyung," It was Junsu, and Yunho saw Yoochun darting his eyes to the man.

"Under Korean law, it’s a 4th degree crime to steal from a doctor’s office." Kibum recited and stepped out from the crowd towards the theif, and Yunho literally saw Changmin's eyes bulging out.

Yunho watched as Jaejoong held onto Kibum's arm, preventing the male from terrifying the man on the floor further more.

"It's fine, there’s nothing much of importance in my office,” Jaejoong muttered to the nurse who caught the thief. “I keep all the files at home anyway."

Yunho observed as Kibum and Junsu both handed Jaejoong some money out of their wallets when the older one had spoken to them softly.

"Here," Jaejoong made his way towards the thief and handed some money to him, brushing his hand softly against the other one's face. "Wash up, buy a nice tux and get a job." Jaejoong advised with the most beautiful smile painted on his face. And once again, he had capture Yunho's heart all over again.

The next thing came as a surprise to all, as the male harshly yanked Jaejoong down to his level and attached his lips to Jaejoongs' neck. Everyone gasped in horror, seeing the man's aggressive hands on the side of Jaejoong's neck and biting down on the expanse of pale skin drawing blood.

"I've marked you, you are mine."

Jaejoong pushed the male away, landing on the floor himself. He raised his hand to his neck to touch the injured patch of skin.

"Yah! Call security!" Kibum yelled at the nurse and rushed over to help Jaejoong on his feet.

In a few minutes, security rushed over and hauled the man away. Never did Jaejoong break eye contact with the man; because the words ghosting in his ears sounded way too familiar.

Kibum and Junsu left Jaejoong’s side to talk to the security about the whole entire incident, while Leeteuk led Jaejoong to a room to tend the wound on his neck.

"Geez, didn't think about pushing him away sooner?” Leetuek commented as he pressed the large patch of band-aid onto Jaejoong's skin. “He completely bit into your skin. What a freak!"

"I've marked you, you are mine." these words kept on lingering in his mind.

The familiarity of the voice…

The intense stare…

It all seemed too familiar, as if Jaejoong had seen the man somewhere before.

But that was nearly impossible, Jaejoong thought. Everyone who knew him as Kim Jaejoong, probably thought he was dead or missing; and everyone who knew him as Youngwoong Jaejoong were all from the hospital. There was no way he could have seen that man before.

When Kibum and Junsu entered the room, Jaejoong hopped down from the bed.

"Junsu, does that man look familiar in any way?" Jaejoong asked looking at his brothers while swinging his keys around his index finger.

"No. Not really,” Junsu answered. “Why? Do you know him?"

Silence dawned upon them. Junsu didn’t understand why Jaejoong had asked him that question. He was pretty sure he had never seen the man before.

"I am sure that I've seen him somewhere...but where?" Jaejoong mumbled to himself. Pacing around the room, his key chains continued spinning around his fingers.

"Why did you say that hyung?" Kibum asked as he tried to keep up with Jaejoong's pace.

"He just looks so familiar…" Jaejoong’s voice trailed off when the spinning keys slipped from his finger and skid across the floor before stopping by a pair of black, leather shoes.

Jaejoong's gaze followed his keys and travelled up along the long pair of legs and torso until his gaze landed on the intruder’s eyes.

"Can we talk?" Yunho asked calmly, carefully staring into each of the Kim's eyes. But all that was left in their eyes were hatred and disgust, which unlike before had only held admiration and love.

"Oh! look at the time, we really should be getting home." Junsu made a quick attempt to look at his empty wrist, purposely sending him a message that they never wanted to see or to talk to the three brothers again.

"Junsu-" the name rolled off of Yoochun's tongue, and his voice dipped in utter guilt and remorse.

"Shut up,” Kibum snapped at Yoochun. “You have no right to call my brother's name." He was always the fiery one out of the three Kims. His anger and bitterness seemed to summon an unknown blockage in the Jung’s throat.

The silence took over the room again, eating away the six figures until Jaejoong spoke.

"I really don't see why we need to talk at all, Mr.Jung." Jaejoong’s voice was void of any emotions, and his stare at Yunho was laced with iciness.

"Just a quick second." Yunho muttered. His heart wrenching everytime Jaejoong called him 'Mr. Jung'.

"No," was the immediate rejection. Jaejoong inched towards him in collected steps. His feet came to a halt before he bent down to pick up his keys by Yunho’s feet. And a short "Fuck off” was directed at Yunho.

When the Kims were about to walk pass Yunho and out of the room, Yunho grabbed Jaejoong's upper arm, pulling their shoulders up against each other.

"Listen to me!" Yunho bit out angerly, but he couldn’t find the courage to yell or even snarl at Jaejoong’s new found attitude.

"Yah!” Kibum bellowed. “That's sexual harassment." He was about to push Yunho away from Jaejoong until an arm latched around his wrist, pulling him out of the room. It was Changmin.

"Let go of Jaejoong." Junsu said dangerously, each word marked with disgust.  He placed his hand on top of Yunho’s in attempt to rescue Jaejoong from Yunho’s grip. However, a pair of arms suddenly wrapped themselves around his hip, hauling him off the ground; and he was soon sent out of the room in the opposite direction that Kibum disappeared to.

Jaejoong snarled and angrily cussed when he was also forced down the same hallway and pushed into an unoccupied hospital room. With a mere push from Yunho, the door shut with a loud bang and a soft click, assuring that both of them were locked in and there conversation would be kept private.

"Where are they taking my brothers?" Jaejoong was the first to speak up.

"Changmin and Yoocchun wouldn’t hurt them." Yunho promised Jaejoong, who in return laughed sarcastically at him.

"And I'm supposed to take your words on this?" Jaejoong mocked, his voice coated with bitterness.

"Because, Jaejoong, Yoochun loves Junsu, and Changmin only has eyes for Kibum!" Yunho hollered.  He wanted to apologize for the past and to talk to Jaejoong, but Jaejoong wasn’t exactly helping with his sarcastic remarks and vulgar language.

"No! They don't.” Jaejoong retorted. “What they love is the Kim’s money and the fame attached to Kibum and Junsu." His anger was rising in his little body, ready to explode from his head. How dare was he to say that those two brutes love his brothers after all the misery they put them through.

When silence greeted them both, Jaejoong let out a deep breath, trying to control his anger; because yelling wouldn’t help with solving any problems.

Jaejoong toned down his voice, pushing his bangs away from his forehead, "Why are you here?"

"To apologize." he was met with a simple answer that had rolled off rather quickly off of Yunho's tongue.

"Then save it, cause i don’t need it." Jaejoong muttered under his breath. His slender legs reaching the door, and his hands latched to the knob in a desperate attempt to free himself from this conversation.

When Yunho once again grabbed his wrist, Jaejoong yanked his wrist out of Yunhos' grap, holding his hand high in air before coming in contact wihtout Jugn Yunho's cheeck seconds later. "Keep your hands off me!"

Yunho's hand came up to touch his flaming cheek, he deserved it, he deserved everything g Jaejoong could ever throw at him. Jaejoong proceed to open the door, sparing Yunho a rather disgusted look, "Do not come here again."

"What can I do for you to forgive me?" Yunho asked even though Jaejoong had already made it simply clear that forgiveness was one thign Yunho should never ever get from him, ever. But he still had to try; if he didn’t say it this time, he would never know if this might just be the last time he would ever see Jaejoong again.

The other male halted his steps, one foot was already out of the room, and the door knob was still in his hand.  And the words slowly slipped from his mouth without a second thought, "Turn back time, before you kidnapped me, before I thought you love me, before I thought you were the one." The door to the room closed, leaving Yunho in the room alone to wallow in his own despair.

And just like his own encounter with the Jaejoong, Changmin’s and Yoochun's didn’t seem to go as well as planned. Yoochun came back looking rather sour-Junsu had landed a punch on his face when he was dropping off the resignation letter. And Changmin looked like a dimwit panda who was born with only one black eye.

Yunho considered himself lucky-with only a red handprint on his face.

-

A slap landed on her face as she cried harder and harder, her hands holding onto her prodding tummy.

"Don't do this." she cried at her husband who yanked her harshly off the floor with a grip in her soft velet hair. From the corner of her eyes she could see the triumphant smile on her husband’s mistress/secretary’s face.

"Let’s not get the floors to dirty, darling." her venomous tongue slipped out from her red painted lips as it darted towards her lover’s face, licking the shell of his ear suggestively before glaring down at his wife.

Mr. Shim looked disgustingly towards his wife before turning back to his secretary, wrapping an arm around her slim waist. "When I come back, this place better be cleaned up." he hinted at all the broken vases that Mrs. Shim had tried to throw at him when he had announced a divorce.

She hid her face behind her palms; her tears slowly crept out and sank into the white carpet. Why was life so unfair, why had God given her a dream life covered in gold without the colors of love?

Would she be better off if she had married a rich husband like her dead father wanted?

Would she be better off if she hadn't given that greedy husband all her shares to the company?

'I'll be here whenever you need me.'

'Do best for the child not for your husband’s image.'

"Doctor Youngwoong..." Mrs. Shim called out in her rather dreamy state. It was then she realized the blood staining the carpet, it was then she realized, that eveything that belonged to her was no longer hers. The power, the money, and haning on a mere cord-her child.

This chapter was rather blah to me. Well at least I got the stone rolling, give me honest opinion-this chap was a rather bore I know, trust me. It was hard enough for me to write it. Next chap I promise more YunJae, Yoosu and KiMin. Wihtout all the punches and slaps.

Its been a long time since I last wrote a KMH Chapter so the feeling maybe off-but hopefully I will get it back. PLease don't be disappointed?
