Miscellaneous stuff ...
This morning we met the neighbors and CJ and Loupnoir at the Ferry Building and tootled around the market. Loupnoir hadn't been to the City in quite some time and seemed to be delighted with the market. She even ran into a vendor she knew from her neck of the woods.
I made potato nettle gnocchi for dinner one night this week. It was very tasty, especially with garlic and sage butter sauce. It ended up being more than one dinner's worth of food, so there are leftovers for lunch and a second batch of them in the freezer for another dinner.
The rest of the nettles went into a pesto-like pasta sauce another night.
We went to the Castro last night to see FootLight Parade. Jimmy Cagney, Joan Blondell and the wonder of Buzbee Berkeley. However, I do not get the appeal of Ruby Keeler. Great dancers make it look effort-less; she doesn't. The aquacade was particularly good.
