In a time long past and a time yet to come, Michael Donighal took the plans for that machine from Saturday's demesne in Black Storm Bay. The stones of the mansion, twisted metal fragments of the almost complete Engine and the Mesmerist's broken body all that remained when he had gone.
But for Jackson Harley, that act of the play has not yet come. Power unknown may have caged him here out of place and outside of time, but he has not been an idle prisoner. The Telluric Engine hums to life, drawing power into itself from the Void. The lights above flicker in spectra not meant for human eyes as the Engine strains the fragile shields that keep Milliways intact.....
