Lime cookies are yummy!
The lime cookies made with the recipe provided by atommickbrane were a big hit in church today. And my flat mates love them too. I made 1 batch to try it out first on friday and by the next day, there was only a few left. One too many hungry flat mates in the wee hours. XD So I decided to make 3 batches for church on saturday. It's a good thing I made that many because I'm only left with 1 batch for myself and my flat mates. XD I even had 2 people asking me for the recipe! But if I were to make it for myself, I think I'll add more lime juice cuz I like it more tangy. Maybe I'll try with lemon juice in future too. ^^ Thumbs up to the recipe! (^_^)b
I finally finished download the monstrous 1.5GB Hana Kimi special today morning but only managed to watch it after church ended. Still as hilarious as ever but the time line was a bit confusing because it took place somewhere in the middle of the drama. I think I've only watched Hana Kimi once so I forgot quite a lot of stuff. But I like Toma with light brown to almost gold hair! Nakatsu acting out his inner thoughts part is still so funny!
Soft subs for episode 2 of Ryusei no Kizuna was out in the afternoon! I had actually watched it raw yesterday just to test my level of understanding of Japanese but when they started talking really fast, I gave up. XD Did manage to catch some stuff but nope, not ready to watch an entire drama series raw yet. Anyway bout Ryusei, I do like it. But somehow it doesn't excite me to the point where I'm dying to watch the next episode. And looks like the 'drama' within the drama when they're swindling people is here to stay. I've come to appreciate how wacky these 'dramas' are. :P I find myself craving to try Hayashi Rice too and found a recipe for it at Just Hungry! But I'll only try in when I'm back home in Dec. I'm in the process of clearing out my food stock now as I only have less than 1 month to go. Can't wait!
I'm contemplating now too whether I should start my own 'Natto Project' after reading about this 2 people's attempt here at a food blog. They ate natto everyday and by the end of about 30 days, they learnt to accept and appreciate natto. I actually bought some natto this year too after I saw the oriental store selling them and I actually don't mind it. While I won't say it's my favourite food, I don't find it super disgusting or want to throw up after eating it. A friend told me it tastes kind of like the chinese black beans but more slimy but I don't think so. Natto has less flavour, smells more pungent and way more slimy. But for now, I will definitely find a good brand of natto when I'm home and try it with rice. Maybe, just maybe, I'll love it!
I've done quite well in resisting reading fan reports so far. :D Did allow myself to sneek a few peeks past the first few lines of some but mostly I've not read them. After seeing pictures of the actual concert goods, I'm a pretty happy fan! Firstly, you can't go wrong with red! (bias much!) Secondly, the pamphlet pictures, uchiwas, clear files and shop photos looks so GOOD!!! The phone strap is nicer too but the ring and hat hairpin isn't. The ring, though designed by all members of NEWS still looks too tackey tacky. The faux diamond is too big for my liking but the small money bag shape bag that comes with it looks so cute! Maybe I'll buy it for that mini bag. :P The hat pin turned out to be a hat hairpin. I thought it would be tiny like the Monopoly game piece. XD I can't think of any use for it if I buy it except for cosplaying my beloved soft toy dog for fun or keeping it until my yet to be born niece is a few years old and will allow me to dress her up. XDDD Btw the mini hat hairpiece reminds me of the Taiwanese children show host/singer, Shui Mi Tao Jie Jie. XD (picture of her)
Aight, I'm going to watch Daigo on Domoto Brothers now then sleep early. Kinda tired today, especially with 1 less hour of sleep thanks to the adjustment of Daylights Savings. I still have no clue who Daigo is but he sounded hilarious from the few times he was mentioned during the NEWS's Happy Birthday promos. His name came up again when Kaname Jun imitated him during the 'Monomane' part when the cast of Ryusei was on TFP2. Hope it's funny! :D
