bad hollywood! no cookie!
I have what amounts to an unpopular fanish opinion:
I am not excited about the new Pride and Prejudice movie.
I just -- ! Aaah! Keira Knightly is no Elizabeth Bennett! Holy freaking stunt casting Batman!
And the longhaired actor guy is not commanding and snooty enough! He's kind of broody and cow eyed. No! No no no! Mr. Darcy is a superior, snobby bastard! He should be all *lip curl*-y NOT *pout*-y.
Aaargh. *gnashes teeth*
Of course, I have a special place in my heart for the A&E/BBC miniseries (Colin Firth, RAWR) but I have issues even with that. Things left out, a few casting and characterization nitpicks. But NOTHING as bad as even the trailer for the new one is.
*sigh* I don't know, I guess I have issues with all movie adaptations of books I love.
