Last night I purchased a burger at Burger King for $1.58. The counter girl took my $2 and was digging for my change when I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and gave it to her. does it make me a geek that i looked at the first problem, from 1950 and took about 3 seconds to find the correct answer?

did that top scenario actually happen? Cos I was buying a sandwich from a bakers for £1.75, and gave the saturday girl £2.25.. she handed me back the 25p i handed over, along with the 25p change.
