So I don't get the chance to update very often anymore.... lame.
Well, happy holidays to all. I have presents still sitting in my room waiting to be opened by certain people.
hint hint
Anywho
So, Christmas Eve I worked til 5:30, then went home, decorated and assembled the "ugly cake" I'd baked before work so that James wouldn't have an aneurysm (i know I spelled that wrong, got dressed and Alex picked me up for dinner at his place.
I'm always amazed with the number of people at Alex's place for Christmas Eve dinner. This year it was Lorraine, James, Alex, James' girlfriend Natalie, LauraAndNick, Nancy and me. Then later, the other Jenn showed up, and so did this guy named Owen.

After dinner we exchanged gifts. (Some of us anyway)
I gave Lorraine (Alex's mom) some little things.. body shop stuff.. and a manicure gift certificate for the York Street Spa.
She gave me a pashmina scarf. She gave one to Nat too.
James gave me a Teddy Scare from Mrs. TiggyWinkles. It was cool and terrifying... and in a body bag... (Me and Nancy went to go look up the website that was on the package... weird stuff..)
I gave him a directors chair The shape of the box drove him nuts all night. It was hilarious.
Alex and I exchanged our little gifts. I gave him a dinosaur excavation toy. He gave me an Emily the Strange calendar. =)

It was a full house. We played Cranium and Catchphrase well into the night. That's right. We sat around playing board games.
Owen "amused" everyone with one clue in Catchphrase. (For anyone who doesn't know, the point of the game is to get people on your team to say a word without saying any part of that word.) His clue was "It's a person who cleans your house but isn't your mother or your girlfriend."
The answer was maid.
We were player guys versus girls. Guess which team thought it was funnier?
Anyway, Alex walked me home and there was no snow :(. Sad.
Christmas morning, Dan woke me up... I didn't want to get up. It didn't really feel like Christmas
I got some cool stuff...
-New camera case & film
-2 t-shirts from Trivium (funny story about those... my mom went in there -by herself! I was so proud!- and told on of the girls who works there that she liked her belt. The girl told my mom that they were bondage straps.... My mom apperantly turned red and almost left.)
-pjs (with a pink skull on them) and a robe (fuzzy!)
- Corpse Bride DVD, a cool camisole and guitar pick earrings from Michelle! (she actually tried this year)
- a belt with a big jewelled skull buckle,
- new zippy sweater... again, with a skull (there was kind of a theme going this year...)
-lots of fuzzy socks!
Michelle and I went to visit our grandmother. Hopefully she's coming over on Friday ... we didn't get to stay long unfortunately. She was going to my aunt's house, and we had to go home for dinner.
Then we had dinner at home. The evil turkey took forEVER to cook. It was frustrating for everyone involved. At twenty to seven my mom threatened the turkey. She told it that if it wasn't done by seven, she was throwing him out and ordering a chicken from Swiss Chalet.
Luckily (depending on how you look at it... from our point of view or the turkey's) it was done at about 5 to.
After dinner I went to Alex's and we exchanged our real gifts. I'm not going to go into it, but Alex gave me the most beautiful, thoughtful, wonderful gift ever. I would have cried, had his mom and brother not been sitting there with us. I've cried a fair few times since... God, I love him.

Today, I went to work for 6:30 am. Fun stuff, as the store didn't open until NINE. Anyway, I was there for about an hour, when I passed out on the floor. My boss was pretty freaked out. I probably would have been too, had I been conscious.
They told me to call someone, and thus I called Dan, who came and picked me up. Lina had Callette walk me to the mall doors and wait for Dan to show up.. I didn't mention the passing out part to my parents... just that I had gotten sick. That's the last thing I need.
So, I came home and slept til 2:30.
And that's been my holiday.
<3 Hope everyone's having fun!
Love,
Jenn
