Hudson River Reverie
So I got Offbalace across from me, and the Hudson River to my right. And it's good.
One of my favorite things has been the MetroNorth train along the Hudson. The city fades, the majesty of the Palisades, the pure wonder of the mighty Hudson itself.
True, you get downtown Yonkers and industrial Bronx. But you also get some lovely industrial ruins.
Honestly, take am afternoon, ride up to Hastings or Dobbs Ferry, wander around downtown, and get hell back home after a few hours.
But don't sleep on the train. Plug in the earphones, but don't watch a movie. Take in as much of the Hudson view as you can.
You'll thank me for it.
