Political ramblings...I expect they'll only get more prevalent before Nov. 2

When I can't sleep (as I often can't), I find it amusing to watch Fox News. Honestly, who do they think they are fooling? Not that people don't already know this, but I feel the need to reiterate.

Why does anyone who isn't a conservative asshole bother going on the O'Reilly Factor? Do they think he magically won't be an ass to them? He was flapping his jowls tonight about how "ridiculous" he thinks it is that gay rights and women's rights groups were offended when the Governator referred to certain CA legislators as "girly men." He kept going back to Whoopi Goldberg's comments of last week about Bush and saying that if she can "degrade the Presidency" like that then Schwartzenegger can say whatever he wants. Hi, stupid...Goldberg isn't an elected official. Furthermore, as an American she has not only a right, but a responsibility to criticize Bush if she feels like he is not living up to expectations. Since when is criticizing a president's performance the same as making a sexist and homophobic comment? I'm so distressed that the message about patriotism is no longer that you should speak your mind and stand up for your beliefs, but instead that you should shut up and pledge allegiance to an administration regardless of what horrible shit they do?
