frist?

Well - not 'frist' for this journal ... but 'frist' for me posting from Google Docs.

I don't know if you use Google Docs/Spreadsheets/Sites or not, but holy begeezuz - it has simplified my life like you wouldn't believe.

I can't wait for Google Wave. I think it will change the way we think about communicating on the web.  I don't think IM will go away completely, but to have the ability to live edit a la IM what is basically a shared document, as well as add and edit photos and files in real time, is amazing.

I know some of you may be thinking that I've been caught in the trap with Google being in bed with FBI/CIA and all.  But you know what? They can datamine the hell out of whatever I've got here.  My main job in science is to communicate my findings, and if I'm using Google Docs to do it and the government decides to pay attention - wow, wouldn't that be a 'frist!' - then great.  I would rather use this service, be far more productive, and sacrifice that little bit of privacy and avoid using the words "BOMB" and "OBAMA" in the same sentance. OOPS I just did. Have fun with that one, CIA.
