(no subject)
Tonight was actually very boring for a typical Friday night. No mall, no Java Joes, no nothing. I went out to eat at HoHotts (or something like that) where they make your chinese food in front of you. I went with my parents and some ppl they know, but I left early. My dad's out of town for the weekend but my mom doesn't know so I just told her I would be spending the night at his house. I swear to god she has a fucking lying detector strapped to the back of her head. Not that she knew I was lying... she was just suspicious. She had tried calling and because he hadn't answered just that one time, she thought he wasn't home or some shit and said she had to see me talking to him on the phone telling him that I was coming over. SO MUCH FOR THAT. THANKS A WHOLE FUCKING LOT.
Then she told me I had to be home at 11:30. Sure, she always says that and I come home at 1, 2, or 3 o'clock in the morning and she doesn't say anything. Well last Friday I stayed out until 1 and she picked that night to randomly get pissed off. Stupid... and tonight I was like 20 mins late and she didn't say anything. I was just imagaining how it had been last weekend, she was at the top of the stairs when I walked up there with her arms crossed in the dark and she said "where have you been?"
Not that I got in much trouble. Just had to be home an hour early the next night. But luckily she bribed me into staying home a couple nights ago and agreed to give me fourty bucks for it. So she gave it to me last night before she went to bed and now it's almost gone. The fucking evil man who was working at Burger King this morning didn't give me my three dollars back. I gave him 5 and the change, and he didn't give me anything back. So I asked him, and he told me he had already given it to me, so I drove off like an idiot and later I realized he never gave it to me. How rude. He looked like an old German man.
So tonight I left and my mom knew I was really pissed because of a number of reasons. First, my step dad just now reminds me that I need to have 80 dollars by monday to pay half of my car insurance bill or I can't drive my car. What the fuck am I suppose to do about it? I've put in applications and the lady said she's doing interveiws soon and she will for sure call me back, so I'm going to wait for her. Stupid... waiting... but the place isn't even open yet. Grrrrr! Also, it pisses me off that she has let me get away with not coming home until 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning, and now she's cracking down more on it. So I know some nights she'll be "on gaurd" so to say and others, like tonight, I prolly could have stayed out for a few more hours.
At Jennie's we watched RAISING HELEN, which is a very good movie. Funny, and it made me laugh which was unusual because almost every scary or funny movie I've seen lately was just dumb.
WHITE NOISE, stupid... just to unrealistic. It would have been scarier if they would have ended it like half an hour before (SPOILERS) his dead wife started talking to him through his tv telling him to go on little missions to save people.
DARKNESS, one of worst movies I've ever seen. Ever. No plot, random scenes, cheap (and waaaay over-used) typical scares, and a blank plot that tries to acheive the whole "ooh yes we're trying to twist you into this deep storyline and confuse you into being scared" and it doesn't even pull off as mediocore. It's like the just stole little tidbits of every scary movie that was made and tried to make it into one story... failing miserably, to say the least. I'm usually one of those people who says "yea, see it for yourself" but this one is a major exception.
Okay, now that I think about it, I have seen some pretty funny movies lately. MEET THE FOCKERS was more entertaining in general than funny, though. DON'T BE A MENACE was on HBO yesterday and that made me laugh a lot. I want to get the dvd. PSYCHO BEACH PARTY was really good, too. Strange, and very good.
