15.3 Maine - Losing the Heir
The Maine family has an American naming theme and consists of
Quentin Maine, Romance/Grilled Cheese, LTW to have 20 simultaneous lovers. He works in the Business career as a Business Tycoon.
Owner of Homegrown, level 10 Farmer’s Market, The Maine House, Level 10 night club and Secondary Scene, level 10 Musical Club, Skogskyrkogården, level 1, Park
Frode Maine, Family, LTW Education Minister, teen, son to Patricia Maine and Odd Norman. He works in the Education career as a Playground Monitor.
The businesses net values are for The Maine House 65.431§, Secondary Scene 84.369§, Homegrown 70.009§, Skogskyrkogården 70.116§ and the household’s net worth is 124,707§ this week, and the weekly tax is 41.463§.
We miss only 79.212§ to be able to start a university and win this challenge! Maybe we’ll even manage during this round! Company tax was the best idea ever!
Quentin wants 20 lovers and he’s got quite a few candidates. Now he works on townie Jill to increase their crush to love.
Despite the hot date, it’s a cold night and Quentin and Jill both freeze until they’re blue. Frode’s classmate is a bit too interested in the adult activities.
Then Quentin spends some time in the garden and the greenhouse. He’s still got a farmer’s market to run.
And all of a sudden he turns into an elder!
Frode still lives here too. He is a teen, but will soon become an adult. He likes the new girl in his school, Abha Sharma.
Back to Quentin who is working on the next lady after he fell in love with Jill. Now it’s Pamela’s turn.
Abha is here again and Frode grows up to adult. He gets a promotion to Teacher’s aid at the same time.
Abha gets acquainted with the ancestral mothers of this lot, Brittany who was Quentin’s mother, and Tracy who was Brittany’s mother.
That night, Frode and Quntin goes to Homegrown to earn some money. They work hard and don’t have time to eat.
It becomes too much for Frode, who gets scared by a ghost and cannot reach the plate of grilled cheese before he succumbs. The SimGodess tries in vain to wake up Quentin
He comes too late to gamble for Frode’s life, and there’s nothing we can do!
And as if that wasn’t enough, Brittany comes out to scare the living daylights out of her son!
He faints and ends up sleeping on the floor. But despite that, he wants a date when he wakes up, to take his mind off Frode’s demise. He invites Gunnel Boston over.
They have been in love before, but she probably caught him with someone else and holds a bit of a grudge still it seems.
But Quentin is a charmer and soon she falls for him again.
Then some lonely garden work where Quentin earns a gold badge in gardening.
Then on to the next conquest, townie Danielle
Unfortunately she doesn’t like to talk about grilled cheese.
Quentin (or the SimGodess) suddenly remembers that he owns Skogskyrkogården, the local church, currently on business level 1. He goes there to maybe improve the rating. At least he meets one of his loves, Elain Suffolk, the next family up.
He spends some time there talking to the aging population of Birka and eventually the level rises to 2.
He invites Gunnel over for a date.
They play ball and flirt and eventually they fall in love. The SimGodess lost count of Quentin’s lovers, but it’s not yet 20 at least.
And before he heads home, the lot raises to level 3.
Back home, Quentin invites Danielle again
And at least she falls in love with him.
Then Danielle’s friend Marie calls Quentin to go to an outing, and why not?
They go to Quentin’s night club the Maine house, which we thought was at level 10, but it’s at level 8. Maybe the level declines if you’re not attending to the business?
To have the outing on the lot seems to have been a good idea though, because soon the level is 9.
Quentin finds that he has two bolts with Marie and leaps into her arms.
When the outing is over he asks her for a date and he realizes that she’s family girl and likes to talk about Grilled Cheese! Maybe he should marry her to get a new heir now when Frode is gone? We’ll see when we come back to this lot and he has finalized his LTW. But now, the time is up and it’s time for the Suffolks!
