Week 12.1 Stolt - Where's the Cat?
Welcome back to Birka for week 12. We start as we usually do, with the Stolt family, consisting of:
Diana Stolt, Pleasure/Family. She works as a Celebrity Chef. LTW 2 - 50 dream dates
Owner of 2Friends restaurant - level 7, and Club Maggan - level 9
Taavetti Ottomas, Popularity, LTW Rock God. He’s working as Music Teacher at Summer Camp.
Zarah Stolt, Family, LTW to marry off 6 children. She doesn’t work.
Kickan, the cat.
The household’s net value is 70.581§, which adds up to a weekly tax of 7.058§ according to the new law of 10% tax in Birka.
Diana, the Culinary Chef, has a keen interest in the culinary arts, and glows intensely when she’s eating or drinking something.
Taavetti, the Music Teacher has a similar reaction to music.
Zarah is still a teenager and doesn’t care much about any true hobby or the like. However, she has randomly rolled the wish to have a job in the Oceanography career. According to the rules of this challenge, the Oceanography career opens with a TOC in Natural Science OR for an individual sim with a Gold Fishing badge.
So, Zarah starts fishing. It’s already autumn, so we’ll see if she’ll make it before winter when the pond freezes over.
The elderly cat is very interested in the results.
Taavetti comes home with a promotion to Judge in a Rock Band Contest, a basket of groceries and a workmate in the form of the Romancer Linnea Colorado.
She tries to flirt with him, but he won’t have it. Probably he walked in on her and somebody else last round.
The score is about to be set even. Linnea doesn’t appreciate that Taavetti has a relationship with his live-in girlfriend
And she lets him know it
He doesn’t let that get him down. He happily sets his effort on fixing the shower and loves that his party was a success. He has parties so often, we don’t even care to record every time.
Diana goes to 2Friends to make some business. I still love this place, it’s so cozy!
Soon enough the level of the restaurant is 8. Problem is it has never ever been profitable. What’s the trick?
Diana doesn’t just own the 2Friends restaurant, but the nightclub Club Maggan, too. While chatting up her niece (yes, her brother Ludde’s daughter Kaylynn), she gets a good review and the Best-of-the-Best award
At Club Maggan Diana earns her Gold badge in Sales.
With Halloween approaching, it seems rather natural that an evil witch would show up on her doorstep, don’t you agree?
Luckily, Diana’s got patrons more than willing to aid in the combat for hygiene and spray away the leavings after the evil witch
Meanwhile, at home, Zarah’s earning a bronze badge in fishing
And Taavetti gets promoted to Roadie. This must be his most successful incarnation ever!
The two friends Diana and Elaine are working their restaurant together, and it’s very successful. A ladies’ night is ahead it might seem.
After a successful night, the two friends continue to Diana’s second business. Elaine is holding up terrifically for being pregnant. She’s a real party girl, no matter what!
That night. Club Maggan re-reaches level 10, as it hasn’t been since Diana inherited the club from her mothers. It’s a magical night!
Magic indeed - Taavetti should have become an elder hours ago, but he’s just playing away on the bass guitar, cheating his destiny
And Zarah earns her silver badge in fishing
Finally, 12 hours later, Taavetti cannot resist any longer and becomes an elder in a terrific mood.
A new session at 2Friends brings nothing worth documenting except the host Vincent’s exceptional welcoming gesture towards Brittany Maine
Taavetti gets promoted again! To Studio Musician. He goes straight to bed
He wakes up when it’s dark outside with a wish to resurrect Kickan, the cat.
J68: “What?! Did the cat die?”
Apparently it did, without anyone noticing. Taavetti mourns by her grave for ten minutes, then it’s all over.
Friday it’s Diana’s turn to turn into an old lady. That is only the second most important happening today, because...
It's Zarah's birthday
She grows up to a curvy young woman who is ready to fill the earth, at least with six new sims to marry off
However, her teenage boyfriend Orsino, who is planned to be the father of these six, ends up in the arms of Vigdis, our Norwegian seducer, and he falls hard for her. Zarah pretends not to see.
Officially she cries because she didn’t have the opportunity to attend Uni
She tries to initiate a woohoo with Orsino, despite all, but he refuses her. Lok - no hard feelings against neither Orsino nor Vigdis. Zarah is a good girl.
Then HE initiates something with the help of ACR
And again HE refuses. In the meantime the Police comes to break up the party (at 11pm on a Friday night, they are crazy!)
All in all, Zarah had a terrible birthday and is left with only the ghost of Kickan by her side, but she’s a brave woman and keeps a smile on her face
The next day, Orsino’s back…
And this time, he does as he’s bid, and tries for a baby with Zarah
Taavetti continues to work in the Music career and gets promoted to Concert Pianist
Diana works at 2Friends, and her old friend Tracy pushes the restaurant over the edge to level 9.
Back home, Zarah suspects she’s on her way to her goal. She throws up all day
And in between toilet sessions she’s gulping down cheesecake to get the production up
By Sunday night, Zarah has her first pop, and the babies are due Tuesday week 13.
With that, we leave the Stolt mansion after yet another great party, and with two of three inhabitants in a platinum mood
