Week 11.1 Stolt - Secondary Family
Welcome back to Birka for week 11. We start as we usually do, with the Stolt family, consisting of:
Diana Stolt, Pleasure, LTW Celebrity Chef - acheived. She works in the Culinary career. LTW 2 - 50 dream dates
Owner of 2Friends restaurant - level 7, and Club Maggan - level 9
Taavetti Ottomas, Popularity, LTW Rock God. He’s unemployed at the moment.
Zarah Stolt, Family, LTW to marry off 6 children. She doesn’t work.
Kickan, the cat.
The household’s net value is 83.691§, which adds up to a weekly tax of 4.185§.
If the readers have a good memory, you remember that Taavetti’s haircut was the talk of the town last round. It has not mended itself, so it’s probably not a glitch, but a real failure on some hairdresser’s part.
He doesn’t like it the way we mend it, either, but it cannot be helped, the simGodess couldn’t stand seeing him like that anymore.
And since he cannot find a job in the Music career he spends some time with his sister Kaarina.
When Zarah gets home, she runs past her father and aunt in the kitchen, into the bedroom towards the back of the house to show off her good grades to her sleeping mother.
Then she starts flirting with Ovidio Oregon who followed her home from school. Our Family girl wishes to go steady and is on the look-out. Apparently he’s as shy as she is, despite his Fonzie look.
There is no spark, so they decide to keep it at friends level, at least for now.
Club Maggan has dropped a level, to 9, so Diana fraternizes with the patrons to work on their loyalty. Regis Boston appreciates the effort.
At home, Taavetti has succeeded in reaching max enthusiasm in Music and also to land a new job in the Musical career as a Coffeeshop sound technician. Way to go!
And with summer, the business picks up at 2Friends restaurant.
Back home, Zarah tries her luck with a blind date. She really wants to go steady with someone, someone with hopefully at least two bolts.
It’s the headmaster with a crazy haircut! He’s a Knowledge sim, and those are usually compatible with Family sims, so we’ll see how things work out.
Well, maybe not so well. Zarah fears that Gottfrid is stinky, and instead she wants to be best friends with Ovidio Oregon and Rasmus (Colorado). And she wants to fall in love with Rasmus. Unfortunately he just married Zarah's aunt Tarja at the end of last round.
Tarja is Taavetti’s youngest sister, who just grew up and got married to Rasmus Colorado, as just mentioned.
Well, looky here! Ovidio brought his brother Orsino with him to the Stolt house, and Zarah has two bolts with him! This will be the one, for sure.
So she asks him on a date instead. It’s better that she dates a boy her own age, and if it lasts, it’s better to keep it in the playable families. Even though population control is a bit contradictory when playing a BaCC.
And just as the young ones prepare to start slow dancing, Margareta, Zarah’s step-grandmother appears and scares the living daylights out of Orsino.
Orsino is a brave young man and doesn’t let an old ghost scare him, so the date continues with shy kissing.
And in the end, their date is a dreamdate, and Orsino’s mind is filled with the delightful Zarah!
Diana is put on mourning duty for her stepmother and her mother. The third stone is the Tombstone of Life&Death.
The next day after school, Zarah and Orsino are a serious couple, and Zarah the family sim is very happy!
It’s even real love!
And her dreams are happy that night. She dreams about her dear Orsino and is happy she met him through his brother, her class mate.
Diana’s brother Ludde comes by. He’s very upset about his divorce that took place during last round.
Diana is our founder Maria's biological daughter with the town casanova Cristopher Nedergård. Ludde is Maria's adopted son with Margareta, her lifemate. Patricia and Quentin are Cristopher's children with Brittany Maine, and little Brigitte is Cristopher's daughter with Bloomy Ndayeni
While Diana and Taavetti is at work, Zarah arranges a spontaneous teen party, which involves TV games and som underage drinking, just as can be expected.
Taavetti even gets promoted, and brings Liz with him home from work.
Friday, Zarah cooks comfort soup for her parents and her boyfriend, to try to fight the flu. Again.
Diana has gotten enough aspiration points to claim a secondary aspiration of Family.
Taavetti gets the notion that he would teach the old cat to sit. Actually it seems to work!
Saturday, Zarah and Orsino spend at the pool. Orsino is very devoted to his girlfriend. He’s expecially fond of the parts of her submerged in water, it seems...
Later, back home, they decide that 17 is old enough to start their adult relationship.
An unusual guest in Birka shows up Saturday night. It’s a burglar, and the Stolts’ don’t have a burglar alarm!
Taavetti misses the tapestry stolen. Next time there will at least be some noise when somone breaks in, since now the family’s got an alarm!
And we end this update with our founder ghost scaring the living daylights out of her grandchild.
