So we're going on another coaster trip on August 27th until September 2nd!
It's going to be a lot smaller [we're only going to four parks, and it will be seven days] but it should provide lots of fun, it's relatively cheap, and I will be going on my 200th coaster!!! Nikki will, too, but she's already got more than me so I'm not going to acknowledge it!
Our plan:
SUN Aug 27 - Drive to Montreal
.......... - [Six Flags] La Ronde [Montreal]
MON Aug 28 - [Six Flags] La Ronde [Montreal]
TUE Aug 29 - Drive to Lake George, NY
.......... - The Great Escape [Lake George, NY]
.......... - Drive to Enfield, CT
WED Aug 30 - Six Flags New England [Agawam, MA]
THU Aug 31 - Six Flags New England [Agawam, MA]
FRI Sep 01 - Lake Compounce [Bristol, CT]
SAT Sep 02 - Drive home
It's going to be super fun. We're only going on I think 29 different coasters [five of which I've been on before], but one of them is widely considered to be the best coaster in the world, while another is considered one of the top five best wooden coasters in the world. Both I've been looking forward to riding for a very long time, and now I get to do it! Yay!!! Plus, this will add two new States to the "places I've been" list, which brings me up to something like 15 States. I'm awesome.
This is Goliath at La Ronde. Since we have Six Flags passes, we get in free. Yay free!
Le Monstre at La Ronde. I like this place because it gives funny French names to their coasters. I don't know, but trying to make a name sound scary in French often results in hilarity.
Le Vampire at La Ronde. We've been on a coaster just like this at another Six Flags park, but we both really liked it and thus will be looking forward to this version!
Nikki's most looked-forward-to coaster on the trip - the bobsled at the Great Escape!
The Comet at the Great Escape. I went on this in 1997 and loved it. I hope it's still awesome!
Batman at Six Flags New England. This ride looks really awesome. But it's purple. There aren't a lot of purple coasters out there.
This is Superman at Six Flags New England. It's considered the best coaster in the WORLD!!! and so I'm super excited to ride it. It's incredibly tall, fast, long and has loads of wicked shit to go nuts over.
And this is what you see when you're at the top of the hill.
Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce is built on the side of a hill and much of it is hidden in a forest. It's been called one of the best wooden coasters in the world and since I love wooden coasters, I'm totally hard for it already.
And that's our trip! YAY US.
