My my, you big headed bois...

So.... if youve met Will, or seen Will, or look at the picture OF Will, you would notice how big he is compared to me. Standing between 6'1'' and 6'2'', weighing.. more than me (If I said what he weighs he would kill me LOL), he is a darned big boi. not fat in any way, shape, or form (killer thighs... to die for.. I want them as my own LOL). He tells me AFTER Im preggo that he weighed between 10-11 lbs when he was born. Alright, this is gonna be a big baby!!! I was prepared.... then today...

I go to my 3rd ultrasound appt. No big deal they are checking up on his brain. Guess what?? HIS BRAIN IS COMPLETELY NORMAL!!! The fluid has receded and he is absolutely healthy!!!! YEAY!!!!! *jumps for joy*

So, when they do the measurements, the go by percentage. You want to stay around the 50 percent range. Okay. His legs measure in at 93%. Hes got long legs, just like his daddy. No problem. Its no wonder he can reach beneath my ribs when hes so darned low. His belly is measuring in at 46 percent, which is normal. Overall, hes at 65 percent. but his head. His head was off the charts. Literally. All it said for the percentile was >97 percent. The diameter of his head is currently 9.10cm. BUT, the length of his head is longer than that, I think it measured at about 11.5cm. This is normal... for a full term baby. I have over a month and a half to go! Basically, if he continues to grow at this rate, his head might not fit through me. When I talk to my doctor next week, we will have to discuss the possibility of having to schedule a c-section. They want me to come back in a month for another ultrasound to check on his growth... if I last that long. Hes going to be here within the next month. This enormous pressure that I am feeling "down there" is his head trying to push its way out LOL.. not to mention Ive already had my first contraction (which wasnt very pleasant, mind you!!)... so I dunno... we may just have to do the c-section... I dont want to, but if I try to give birth and he wont fit, I dont want to risk the damage itll do to him. For his safety, I would much rather schedule a c-section.

Did I tell you how much he weighs now? If you remember, last time I went in was exactly 4 weeks ago. At that time, he weighed 3lbs 2ozs- about a pound above normal. Well, in 4 weeks, he went from that to 4lbs 13ozs. If I gave birth to him next week he would prolly be okay to leave the hospital (weight wise- they would have to monitor his lungs).

So are we all caught up now?

Big headed bois... *slowly shakes head* youre gonna be the death of me!! LOL!!! (BTW- I wouldnt mind him coming early :P just AFTER the baby shower!! LOL)
