Not a good day...
First day of work was painfully boring. Seriously, they gave me the dullest job ever. I literally spent my day printing stuff. Typing in names, finding the filess printing them. For 8h. Ugh.
That windows update that's been giving me trouble for the past few weeks still isn't fixed. I tried doing something a friend who works in computers told me to do, but it didn't work. So now he's looking for another way to end it and he should call me back soon. Bloody computers. Why does it always happen to me too? There are 3 computers in this house, and it's always mine that goes wrong. And that's something cos my bro doesn't even have an anti-virus! Ugh ugh.
Two of my DVDs arrived today: Gattaca and In the Land of Women. I shall be watching the latter tonight.
Last night was great. My dad got out all diapositives from when we were kids, on holiday in the south of France - where we're going at the end of the month - and we spent the evening watching them, remembering stuff and laughing. It felt great, especially as we hadn't been together the whole 4 of us in ages, what with my bro always being out and all...
EDIT: Pascal's just gone. I officially adore that guy! I'd literally die without him. He tried different things to solve the problems, but even the stuff listed on the microsoft website didn't work. Well, of course they didn't.. it's microsoft. So we eventually used the good old method: click the box asking windows update to stop offering that update. It was installed on my pc anyway, god knows what the problem was. And we also deactivated the one offering XP SP3, cos that's well crap too, from what I heard. Sooo all should be good now. I'm now on a mission to find him a good bottle of wine or something to thank him. He's always so helpful.
