Before I ramble on about my day, here's a little LJ meme nicked from
cicia.
ABOUT YOU / YOUR JOURNAL
❶ What is your LiveJournal username? How did you come up with it?
j33_3. It all started when I signed up on that U2 forum years and years ago. I couldn't think of a nickname that was unique enough and they had just released All That You Can't Leave Behind. The gate number on the Roissy sign had been replaced by J33-3 which is a reference to the Bible. The verse was ambiguous enough to apply to real life (I'm not that interested in religion) so I decided to use that.
❷ Have you renamed before? If so, what were your old names? If you haven't renamed, what names would you want to rename to?
I've always had this one journal. I don't really know what other name I could use, I'm quite bad at finding names. That's also why I always kept this nickname online, even in other fabndoms.
❸ How much does your userinfo say about you?
Quite a bit. It has photos of me, of my friends, some bits of personal info, music references, etc... It sorts of summarises who I am.
❹ How long have you been on LiveJournal?
I have no idea. I think since 2004.I think I signed up in 2004, but a good part of my entries has been deleted when some twat hacked into my journal and erased it all. So current entries only date back to late 2006 :(
❺ What is the longest amount of time you've gone without posting?
It must not be longer than a couple of weeks, when I'm on holiday without a computer. I post quite regularly.
❻ On average, how many entries do you post per day? (Divide how many total entries you have by how many days you've been on LJ.)
It varies from 1 to 3 posts a day, with some days when I don't post at all.
❼ What are your posts normally about?
My life, gigs, photos and sometimes memes. Things that only I really care about lol.
❽ Is your LiveJournal friends only? Why or why not?
No it isn't. I don't care if people read it or not, I have no one to avoid. None of my 'real' friends, family or relatives are on LJ so I don't really have to worry about the contents of my posts.
❾ Does your LiveJournal have an actual title or are you merely USER @ LiveJournal?
My journal's title is 'Every Sky Is Blue - but not for me and you' from a Placebo song.
❿ How long do you see yourself staying on LiveJournal?
As long as I will have people to talk to on here and communities to visit. Of all the journals sites I know, this is by far my favourite.
ABOUT YOUR FRIENDSLIST
❶ How many people are on your friendslist, not counting private journals, media journals, etc?
I have 52 friends, 47 communities and 5 feeds.
❷ Why do you choose to add a person to your friendslist?
Either because I know them and we get along or because we have common interests. I don't had just anyone, only people I know I will be interested in reading the entries and they mine.
❸ Is your friendslist an actual list of people you consider friends, or more of a reading list?
A bit of both.
❹ How often do you read your friendslist?
Several times a day.
❺ Do you use filters when viewing your friendslist?
No.
❻ How much do you talk to people on your friendslist off of LiveJournal?
It depends on the people. Some of them I only know through comments on journals, others I know through communities/message boards and some have become friends I meet up with and talk to a lot.
❽ Do you regularly participate in friending memes? If not, how do you normally find people to friend?
I don't even know what a friending meme is. I add people when they sound interesting from comments I've read on a comm/someone else's journal.. It depends, really.
❾ How often do you add new friends to your friendslist?
Not too often.
❿ Do your friends have to have things in common with you?
That's better if they do.
ABOUT YOUR ICONS / USERPICS
❶ How many userpics do you get maximum? How many of those slots do you actually use?
I get 105 and am currently using 94.
❷ Do you mostly use icons made by yourself or by others?
I can't make icons so I'm only using others'.
❸ Do you have your own icon community? How often do you post in it?
No I don't. I have a fanfiction community though.
❹ What fandoms are most frequently seen in your userpics?
Muse, Doctor Who, a bit of comedy.
❺ How do you find icons to use?
Through communities or sometimes I save icons I see in people's comments.
❻ How often do you upload new icons to use in your userpics?
Whenever I'm bored of the ones I have. Not too often.
❼ Which of your userpics do you use the most?
My default on, cos I tend to be lazy sometimes.
❽ Which of your userpics do you like the most?
I quite like this one.
But it's very hard to make a choice. If I have an icon, it's because I really like it.
❾ The old minimum number of userpics was three. Could you see yourself "surviving" on three userpics now?
Haha no. I remember being very excited when they raised it to 6. Then to 15 with the plus accounts but that was annoying cos of the adds. Many many icons is one of the reasons why I upgraded to a paid account. I've had up to 103 icons ot of 105, and could do with more. So only 3? I don't think so.
❿ What do your userpics say about you?
That I like Muse, Doctor Who, music and comedy?
ABOUT YOUR FANDOMS
❶ How many fandom communities are you a part of?
Let me see... 37.
❷ Do you join fanfic or icon communities or only the general communities?
Fanfic, icon and general comms.
❸ How many fandom communities do you moderate?
Only one, my own fanfic community where I post my fics. It's locked to other people though.
❹ How often do you check fandom communities for new posts?
They all appear on my friendlist, so whenever I check my f-list.
❺ Do you contribute to fandom? If so, by way of what?
I write fics, occasionally post pictures I've found elsewhere.
❻ Which fandoms are you most active in?
At the moment, Muse. I used to be very active in the Placebo fandom. I also joined Doctor Who and The Mighty Boosh comms but barely even read the entries.
❼ What does your choice of fandoms say about you?
That I love music and comedy?
❽ Do you make friends based on fandom?
Most of the time, that's what happens, since I'm not really part of any other sort of communities.
❾ Have you ever read (or been featured on) fandom_wank?
Haha no, and somehow I have a feeling that it's a good thing.
❿ What is one thing you wish you could change about fandom?
Get rid of the very very badly obsessed fangirls, and the wankers who think they're cooler than everyone.
Some random things about yesterday and today:
- I met up with Myriam and Eve yesterday and we spent the afternoon together in town just chatting about things and others, which was very nice. I can't wait until Sarah and Myriam come back from Liverpool for good.
- I'm the happy owner of 2 tickets for the Eurocks festival in July for myself and
placebobitch. It's the 20th edition so they're planning a pre-night with gigs on the campsite.
- I bought myself a ticket for Luke - french rock band - for 5.50€ instead of 18.50€ thanks to my student discount. It turns out that venue where small bands play in town always has reduced prices for students and no one ever told me so I always bought plain-price tickets! Ugh.
- One of my teacher complimented me on the quality of my written assignment, saying my English was very good and fluid, which always makes me happy and proud.
- I should be working, but I'm not. Typical.
- I can't wait to be able to sleep as long as I want tomorrow morning. It's been too long *cough*twodays*cough*.
- I wanna see Muse at the Royal Albert Hall but I can't afford a flight so there's no point in me wasting £10 in entering the competition if I can't even fly there.
- Bah.
