TAIGA, JESSE, SHINTARO

There probably is a future that is more than what we dreamt of back then

Taiga: They want us to think of individual catchphrases, so let’s start with Shintaro!

Shintaro: Please go ahead!

Taiga: I want to use the word ‘MoriMori’. It’s Mori from Morimoto, he eats in a Morimori way [T/N: A way to express he eats a lot], and he speaks in a morimori way too [T/N: A way to express that he exaggerates when talking]... there probably are like 5 meanings behind the word (lol).

Jesse: He is cute in the way that he calls himself ‘Taro’ in private. To the people he meets for the first time, he introduces himself saying “I’m Taro”.

Shintaro: Shintaro has five syllables and it feels long. Meanwhile, Taro is easier to remember.

Taiga: Then, how about “Morimori Taro, who is a cutie in reality”?

Jesse: How about “Morimori boy, Taro~!”?

Taiga: Fufufu, it sounds like an anime title (lol).

Shintaro: It’s decided then! Next, Jesse.

Taiga: I want to use the word ‘tough’.

Shintaro: ‘tough’ sounds good. Like ‘Tough guy’.

Taiga: A while ago, he went to a meal with Koyama (Keiichiro), and I really feel that he has a  ‘tough’ image because he often is able to go for meals with other people even after work.
Shintaro: Dinner party, huh.

Taiga: Dinner party…. Do you want to rhyme ‘guy’ and ‘kai’ [T/N: ‘kai’ = party]?
Jesse: A tough guy who goes to dinner party….Tough guy directly heading to dinner party….

Taiga: Directly (LOL).

Shintaro: I want to add ‘cheerful’ too. That’s why ‘Goblin’s dinner party tough guy’.

Jesse & Taiga: Goblin (lol)!?

Shintaro: The kanji used for goblin [T/N: ‘Yō’ from ‘Yōkai’] is the kanji from cheerful [T/N: ‘Yō’ from ‘Yōki’] instead.

Taiga: That’s so elaborate. To the extent I want Jesse to change his name (lol).

Jesse: So for my third time changing name, it will be ‘Goblin dinner party tough guy’. [T/N: Jesse’s stage name used to be ‘Jesse Lewis’. He changed it in 2012 ]

Shintaro: For Kyomo...

Taiga: For me~

Jesse: Is this the pattern where you suggest it yourself?

Taiga: Above all, I want you to put the word ‘wild’ in it.

Jesse: OK. Wild…..sometimes w…...idol. [T/N: Jesse tried to rhyme wild (‘wairudo’) with idol (‘aidoru’) but it didn’t work out.]

Taiga: Fufufu, that’s regrettable (lol).

Shintaro: Yeah, it’s regrettable.

Jesse: ‘Wild….sometimes idol’.

Shintaro: That’s why it’s regrettable (lol). Because it’s ‘aidoru’. Since he likes ramen, how about ‘Wild ramen Taro’?

Taiga: Where did Taro come from (lol)?

Jesse: ‘Wild ramen vibrato’! [T/N: Note that Jesse is still trying to rhyme ‘wairudo’]

Taiga: It does feel like I’m being dissed a bit, but I may actually be using vibrato when I’m picking up the noodles with chopsticks and am trembling a bit (lol).

Jesse: Yes, you can use it at different times. You can use it on soy sauce, salt or even miso.

Taiga: Okay, let’s go with that (lol). Next topic is, “When you were the most conscious about debut during the Johnnys Junior time’

Jesse: It definitely would be “Shiritsu Bakareya Koukou” (2012). We had drama, movie and even a Yokohama Arena show.

Shintaro: We definitely were riding the tide at that time after all.

Taiga: Like it was a last chance. Back then, we were only conscious about debut until we became highschoolers.

Jesse: After that, we just had to keep doing things in a steady manner, so we kept the thoughts of debut in the corner of our mind.

Taiga:  Until the formation of SixTONES, there were lots of things that I was worried about, and looking back, there weren’t many happy memories.

Shintaro: But while working as a junior, we didn’t really have regretful thoughts like “What if we had made our debut back then….”

Jesse: True, because it was just another day for us.

Taiga: For me, I am the same age as (Kikuchi) Fuma, so I was envious about them able to release stuff like an album.

Jesse: If we are interpreting it as this meaning, then that was the case with TV appearances for me.

Taiga: So, debut felt more like “Really?” in some way….

(Talking about the background stage of “Junior Matsuri 8.8~” that was shown in RIDE ON TIME)

Jesse: There were lots of seniors and juniors back then…

Taiga: It probably would have been different if we had learned of the debut on that day, but since we already knew about it beforehand, we were more prepared and calm I guess.

Jesse: I was reflecting on it thinking ‘ It’s finally happening, I see.’

Shintaro: Since we are in a position where we have seen many people debut before us, we thought a lot. The atmosphere in the dome was also unique and I hated that we had to keep it a secret from everyone else. If we were allowed to, I wanted to tell everyone. I really had mixed feelings.

Taiga: But now, I truly feel that it was good that we didn’t debut during ‘Bakareya’.

Shintaro: I think so too. That it wasn’t the right time for us back then.

Jesse: We got to learn a lot too.

Taiga: We probably have a future that is much more than the one that we dreamt of back then!
