The insurance situation is okay, at the moment. The bill is put on hold, and I intend on paying it later on today. Thank God!!
I couldn't handle my mom's bitterness towards me any longer, so I spoke up, on Monday afternoon. Basically, she was in shock. I apparently had a handle on my emotions and told her how it was going to be, whether she liked it or not.
I told her that I would put forth $50 for rent or insurance, and I told her that I would pay for gas and groceries. I explained that there was no way in hell I could ever balance a full rent/insurance payment, plus groceries and gas, with the hours I am currently working. She agreed to the above.
I also told her that I would not pay a dime, until Glenn (my brother) gave her at least $75 for bills. Considering that my brother is now working 40 hours a week and making approximately $8.00 per hour, he can easily hand over $75. She seemed content with my requests.
I have put myself in charge of budgeting the household bills. That way, my mom doesn't gripe and bitch, and I can monitor how each of us are spending our money. Also, I have more time on my hands than my mom does to actually mail out or drop off payments. It gives me something productive to do, and I know that I am assisting my family.
I only hope for the best...
