go green! go white!
I can't believe how fast time is flying by...there are only 9 days left until school. I'm sooo not ready. I feel like I've been super busy lately but just not getting things done fast enough! Also, last week didn't help much cuz I was resting most of the week from getting my teeth out. I was so swollen and my cheeks bruised! Even today I'm still not feeling 100% but its only a week after. I have my check up appt. tomorrow.
Well Friday night derek and I went to the Journey concert! It was so much fun, the band sounded amazing!!! The place was seriously packed too! We had such a blast!! (Thanks baby! Happy 2 yrs and 1 month!) Saturday I spent some time w/ my parents. Mid-afternoon derek came over and we went to Jeremy's grad party for a few hours. After we went to downtown Rochester where they were having "Dancing in the Streets!" Some of the roads were closed off and they had live music and a bunch of local businesses and resturants had stands outside. Derek's work had a stand where they were showing videos and giving people fake tatoos! I got a pink one! :) We walked around for a while and even went in some of the cute shops they have. Rochester is such a fun place - especially main street! We eventually stopped to eat at our favorite sushi place! yummy. We were so tired after we just went home and watched a movie. Yesterday was a long day! Ok so we got up semi early to go to church. I havent been to church in a little while so it was really nice to go. After church we went home and my mom and I made this really nice breakfast! It was fun! I love cooking w/ my mommy! Meanwhile my dad and derek were watching tv in the living room. lol It made me think about how much I'm going to miss this family time when I'm up at school! It's fun just having the 4 of us hang out. So after we ate and cleaned up my mom, derek, and I went and did my first actually back to school shopping trip!! OMGoodness!! lol We shopped for hours! lol so we went to Bed, Bath & Beyond, Linens and Things, JCPenny, Marshall Fields, Lord & Taylor, and Kohls! lol And I didn't buy a thing! haha We went to check out all of the different beddings. Let me tell you that picking out stuff for your dorm is NOT EASY! lol I didn't really know what colors I wanted for sure. First I was thinking pink & teal...then I though maybe pink & green, then I was like yellow?! no. How bout purple an pink...hummmm......red-orange-yellow?!? uhhh i wanted something fresh and new....sophiscated yet fun! exciting but not overwhelming.....this is hard stuff ya'll!...so...after much deliberation I settled on baby pink, kelly green, and navy blue!!! I decided that I liked this Nautica set that we saw at Linens N Things, so we went back there. The comforter is this rich kelly green with navy trim and it has the cutest - comfiest pillows to match!! phew! that one was hard!! After that we went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond and Meijer and it got a little easier cuz I had some colors to go by...we bought everything from pop-up laundry hampers to AAA batteries to pens n pencils to a shower radio!! haha it was fun though and it definetely got me a little more excited and nervous for school. Excited that I'd have my own space and stuff and a "fresh start" but nervous because this was all happening so sudden and soon and I know how much I'll miss home. My mom and derek were both extremely helpful during shopping...they kept me motivated and optimistic! Thank you!! ;) So after our very long day of shopping we stopped by tubby's and grabbed some subs and went home. I was soooo tired!
This morning for whatever reason I woke up at 7am!?! idk lol I think my mom and I are going to try and finish our shopping and errands today. Still so much to do!! lol Good luck to everyone else trying to get ready for school!! well i'm off...
